  • The coils wasn’t available until mid January so I came back to fix the leaking indoor flare and spot weld the coil to get them going.

    Awesome job mate, love how thorough you are in your work and explanations. I know those pitted coil bends can be very tricky trying to repair. Solid work 🤙🏼

      Thanks mate, that’s always nice to hear. The heart rate increases trying to cut away the metal bracket that’s for sure 😂

    That unit is probably 10 years old, taking a big risk attempting to fix it, coil is going to spring another leak for sure, but awesome work.

      This was only a temporary fix. Mitsubishi Electric had a 3-4 month wait on a new coil. I’ll be heading back in the next few weeks to replace the coil.

    you make this look too easy bro😂....i remember on my first job how i tried to fix a leak on a coil and set my torch wrong...made the hole bigger and dropped the melted copper drops into the coil🥴

    Nice work mate and well explained. Days like these I try to pull in an apprentice. So much gear to lug in / out hey.

      Thanks mate. Haha absolutely. I had one there on the first day to help with all the gear. The amount of stuff you need is crazy

    Can you show refrigeration recovery mode settings please

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  14 дней назад +1

      This is a two pipe heat recovery so there is no Refrigerant Recovery Mode as you’re pulling from both sides. The manuals don’t even have it as an option.

    Solid effort man! Looked like a pretty big job.
    Do you run out of a van or a Ute?

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks mate. Yeah massive job. Took two days to get it back up and running. I have a dual cab with a service body on the back. A work van would be ideal for work purposes, but having kids I need the dual cab.

    what is the big black thing inside the unit. It looks like a compressor

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  Месяц назад

      Suction accumulator. Compressor is in the silver box located bottom right.

      I unfortunately don’t own that. The only I’ve used in the past is works. It wasn’t available when I did this job. I just went back to replace the coil on this system and I used it there.

    Which mode need to be set for the gas pump down in Daikin vrv 4?

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  4 месяца назад +1

      I believe VRV 4’s don’t have a pump down function you can set. Depending on the system, you can just put it in forced cooling operation and close off the required valves until the refrigerant is within the system. Or, pump down as much as you can, close off the service valves and recover the rest.

      Could do that too. We will be going back in a few months to replace the coil.
