When we learned of paper notes going out of circulation, most of us would buy 10 or 20 in serial number (even the ones before that said Commonwealth or Australia as I now just have Australia across the top,) When the first issue of the $10 polymer note was taken out of circulation the first day it was released. (you could easily rub the silver ) - have 10 of those in serial number including one dollars and two dollar notes (10 of each in serial number,) and the rest of the info - think I might go and pull out some of my old coins! good luck finding a 1 cent coin of any date, i cannot recall even seeing a 1 or 2 cent coin let alone a penny in over 30 years, might find some in the junk draw but lol yes right.
I have a whole tin of 1c + 2c coins . We use to use when we played poker and Black Jack. I found them recently as l had forgot l had them packed away in a draw.
