- It's finally done!!! Happy early 413, everybody!
I've never finished such a long term project before but oh man have I been excited to get it done. Such a payoff. (also maybe now I can actually focus on school work again haha............nah.)

My favourite thing about this animation is how much attention was given to Jade and Jake. They are always overshadowed by other kids and imo it's quite unfair.
I think that's the point. Jade is space they tend to be distant in some way until they overcome it. And we'll Jake is literally hope and not just that but a page of hope which meant he is meant to be overshadowed until he figures himself out

Whenever the kids appear as god tier and cycle around, I always think of a character selection screen.
MiaJoy Daorerk Jade and Jake are the two bonus characters you have to unlock to play.
And the Ancestors are the bonus characters for the trolls
They're totally a DLC for bonus history content.
Definetly. Maybe the Dancestors acted as a mental guide for the trolls, helping them when they sleep (which would be the trolls version of checkpoints).
MiaJoy Daorerk and maybe in gameplay, you have to switch between the trolls and kids to get through certain areas of the game. Or the trolls have little mini games specialised to each one that you have to complete to get a certain item or unlock a new area.

so i read all of homestuck and like, completely slam dunked myself into the fandom and it's completely taken over my life now, all i do is live and breathe homestuck, and i just gotta say, oh my god this video is just so incredibly beautiful and well done, and plus i fucking love "counting stars" so thats just bonus points right there

Neophyte Regglare TindraSan grimdarkRenegade [GR] I hate to burst the adorable bubble, but I looked at it closely in MSPaint, and they're actually not, you can tell because you can't see Kanaya's hand wrapping around Rose's like you can see with the Betas holding hands, and if you zoom in, you can see that Kanaya's hand is actually level with Rose's wrist, not her hand. So, no, they're not holding hands, it just looks like it because they're standing side by side. *runs away quickly before the angry homestucks attack*

Sillamara Sorry but Artist says so. They're meant to be holding hands it's just they were individual puppets that had to pop in behind the Betas, so it couldn't wrap around all the way.

Did anyone else notice that all the beta kids (John, Jade, Dave, Rose.) are wearing shoes similar to their friends? Like, John is wearing yellow shoes (Rose), Jade's using red shoes (Dave), Rose's using blue shoes (John), and Dave's using grey/black shoes (Jade). Idk, just an interesting theory of mine. Did any of you see it?

it's because the shoes on the god tier designs for the beta kids were made to match the god tier colors of the person they were paired with on karkat's shipping chart in the pesterlog on page 2790 (idk if i can link directly), so john has rose's and dave has jade's and vice-versa

One of my favorite songs... one of my favorite fandoms... perfectly blended with simply stunning animation and stellar choreography... released a few days before said fandom comes alive again. Thank you for making me fall in love with Homestuck all over again.
You managed to match up each lyric, each phrase, with a perfect moment in Homestuck, then finished off with a series of parallels that were utterly jawdropping in their speed, precision, and imagination. Utterly epic.

I'm just getting into Homestuck now, and I'm so glad I have a decade and a half of fandom stuff to enjoy anew! I love the love given to the humans, a lot of animatics focus on the trolls lots but. I gotta say the humans are my favorite. The expanding group shtot at the end is one of my favorite sorts of shot composition, I LOVE it!!! Great shot composition in general, loved all of this! Excellent work my friend. Hope you kept it up these past 8 years

Emily HeyaHowAreYou After Us has fuckin incredible animation, but the music is so generic it holds it back a ton. Whenever I watch it I mute the sound because it just doesn't do the animation justice.
Here though, everything lines up perfectly. While less animated, the art looks incredible, the animation tells a story, and it is relevant to the lyrics.

While I really do appreciate the fact that you guys view this as a similar quality, I am nonetheless a huge fan of After Us and she put in a year's worth of hard work whereas mine was done in a month. NinetyNineNo Yeah, I think you might be getting a liiiiiittle ahead of yourself. While this video is good, no doubt, Mambostuck is an iconic piece of Homestuck fanmade art, After Us features some of the smoothest animation and nicest story telling,and RDA is a masterpiece contributed to by like 30 different artists that makes a reality a scene we never even see, causing it to be the headcannon for all who watch it. This is good, but it takes a lot to be better than some of the other works for this fandom.

I've been watching this on repeat the last couple of days, from the nostalgic classic background song, to the perfect syncing and transitions, everything about this is so mesmerizing. I feel like I legally owe you money every time I watch this beautiful thing.
Favorite panels has to be Roxy and Dirk, showing off how their lonely traumas brought them to be. "old, but I'm not that old, young, but I'm not that bold". Every fuckin' time I see that bit it gives me chills.

ForsakenSpirits FS It was about a month of working! Could have probably gotten it done sooner but I did have school stuff to take care of. If I'd been working straight through it probably would have gotten done in a little over two weeks.

Currently crying because this reminds me of the excitement i had while reading homestuck for the first time- just watching them all reach God Tier and build their bonds with eachother always made me happy and ngl I kinda felt immersed in the sense that when a character felt an emotion I felt it second hand- and I wont be able to read the story with that edge and needing to know what happens next again.

Holy shit, going through my old subs to clear out the list, see this channel and check what I followed for, see this video and watch it again on the vague memory of "I think it was pretty cool", and not I'm just slammed with emotions. It really reminded me how much I loved Homestuck when I was reading it, and how awesome a lot of the fan content was, this video especially.
