Richmond Goalkeeping Academy Keepers For Good - Surprise Donation to Linda & the Pink Chair Project

Our Goalkeepers have raised over $11,180 this Holiday Season to give back to our Richmond, Va community. We had a little extra this year. Coach Amanda had met Linda with The Pink Chair Project in passing a few months back. RGA had already chosen their charities but she kept her card just in case. Monday, December 18th we realized we had gone over our goal. We contacted Linda's daughter and set up a surprise check presentation before our 2nd annual shopping trip.
In addition to giving to Linda with The Pink Chair Project, our RGA GKs purchased $4,700 worth of toys to delivery this week to Chippenham Pediatrics and St Mary's Pediatric, Purchased $1,200 worth of food to help Hanover, VA Non-Profit, Moments of Hope Outreach restock their food pantry, we refunded our 2 more scholarships (Nate Forester Memorial Scholarship) which were created in memory of Coach Amanda's late brother who passed away in a tragic car accident in July 2017 leaving behind his son who was born just 3-months later. This scholarship goes to a soccer player in the state of Virginia who suddenly loses their parent (s) and/or primary caretaker and pays for their soccer dues.
