This dude not only plays his ass off but he also speaks the truth. A cocaine addiction completely screwed my life up in ways that opiates never did. Im not 7 or 8 years sober and I deal with daily anxiety/panic attacks when driving, standing in lines, etc. and its gotten so bad that i dont even go anywhere except to work and back home, thats it. I get my groceries delivered. If I do absolutely have to go somewhere, I spend a week stressing over it and mapping out how im gonna get there without having to drive on main roads bc the panic attacks always happen whenever I have to stop with a car infront/behind me.. so red lights, stop signs, construction zones, etc. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. Leave that stuff alone folks, it truly is not worth it at all. My life is absolutely screwed up even tho ive been sober for years and im only 31.

No, it's a bluegrass standard called Cocaine Blues that has been around for years. Many artists have done a version, old crow one is pretty good but it's not their song. Some parts of the song were taken and different backing music added to create the Johnny Cash Cocaine Blues, there's a little reference in the Cash lyrics at the end "Come on, you gotta listen unto me Lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be"
