@@Stefoooooon13 Why? They've done them thousands of times and are in good shape. Why wouldn't they be able to do them if they've stayed active and work out?!
I wasn't an Olympian, but did college gymnastics 2007-2010. The only skill i ever do anymore is a standing back, once every couple years maybe? Honestly feels like i could do it til I'm an old man and eventually break a hip, but i know that's not true. Would be fun to get in the gym and see what i can do while i still can
@@jkhoover I’m not yelling, you’re yelling. Using all caps is considered “yelling” but exclamation points, as I used, are an excited emphasis. Please don’t come here just to try to grammar check people….it’s really boring.
@@jkhoover ok, fair enough. It’s how I write to express a happy and excited statement. For 50 years I’ve not had anyone yell at me “WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!?!?!” Lol. Just seemed a bit strong, on your part. But, you scream away, it’s your comment! 😂
@Hawaiian6-pack OK. I was probably being an A**hole. I do that sometimes, but it wasn't meant to be too harsh. More of a playful a**hole comment. I apologize!
Sloan is a GOAT! My daughter convinced me to buy season tickets to watch this girl at UF. Went to UF gymnastics camp in the summers. She was a joy to watch every single meet! The energy in that arena was crazy!
@gwarfiend9717 Yeah but she was an EXCELLENT twister, she is literally 1 of a handful of people in the history of women's gymnastics to complete a front 2.5 twist.
@thangvuong9196 has she given birth since then? Your body changes! I can imagine how terrifying it would be to know that your body has completely changed and you're going to attempt something that you've not done in over a decade with no ramp-up to assure yourself that yes, even with a changed center of gravity, shifted flex, etc those skills are still stored deep inside your muscle memory I say it all the time, brains are weird!
@@gwarfiend9717Healthy, fit people in their 30s don't have any aches or pains. Neither do fit, healthy 40 somethings. Tbh fit, healthy people of any age shouldn't experience aches and pains. In my experience, it's usually an overweight person that claims that.
I remember the girl in the gray shirt from beam queen boot camp it was so fun in California at coastal gymnastics academy that’s were I learned my back hand spring
Luv it ladies ❣️ Please, please, PLEASE DO MORE OF THIS. Thanx. It makes me want 2 get up n do some gymnastics again! I'm an ex competitive gymnast from the 70-80's. Earned a full ride 4 gymnatics @ University. I'm 66, had 2 major back surgeries -7 vertabrae fused, 14" titanium rods, 2 " screws n hooks in my back. Plus 2 rotator cuff tears, ankle reconstruction. Plus the usual hirts gymnasts get. So I'm not movin 2 good lately, fell down the stairs in Feb '24 was in bed x8mo. Tryin 2 get up n go. Anyway thanx ladies, I really enjoyed this vid n subscribed 2 it. Sorry 4 this long history. Don't know what came over me. Happy holidays 🎄🍾🥂🤸🤸🤸🐾🐕😻
The fact that you were that accomplished of a gymnast is AMAZING!! Only people involved in the sport or high level athletics probably get it. That’s not me personally, but I spent a long time hanging with them, and my ex competed in multiple Olympic trials. I feel blessed to have experienced that!! Stay strong!!! Remember how far that body brought you in your younger years. Most of us are betrayed by our bodies in our aging process, but yours really took a beating more than mine. So, be kind to it. 😊 Just your daily reminder to love yourself, from an internet stranger!!❤️🙏
The fact she could still do these skills is just amazing
They’re amazing!!

@ I’m just saying it’s crazy on how they do them.
That muscle memory kicked right it! 💪🏽👏🏽😎😁
I don’t know why but this is so wholesome to me. They lived and conquered and now they’re reliving their memories.
Older gymnasts need access to more gyms and gymnastics equipment across the USA! 💪💪💪
I love this! Especially the one with the “drama.”
Muscle memory is a real phenomenon. Good for her. 😊

The difference is, I was making a point, you were yelling with necessary exclamation points.

Keep going! You’ll work it out.
I need more of this
Bridget Sloan 2009 World All Around Champion is "scared" to do back full lol.
15 years of life will do that to you. Especially once you pass 30. Every day is a new pain or ache.

Watching this in groggy early morning state-- legit thought she was Jennifer Lawrence on my first watch
Isn’t it always amazing what we can still do? 😊
First lady sounds exactly like Jennifer Lawrence xD
SLOAN AND SAM??? i want the whole gang back NOW
Sam and Bridget still look good!! :-)
Ok, if an Olympian can lose their skills in 8 years then I dont feel so bad about being scared to do a cartwheel at 43.
❤❤
Cool! Are any of them over 40 yet?❤
No but muscle memory is so amazing I’m 47 and still have no problem with these skills 😊
Muscle memory, baby!
Samantha!!!
