I just made one and really impressed me! Thanks for sharing! The light beam beats any comercial LED I came across. Im very happy with this one. Hopefully the LED is not going to burn out too soon.
Wow really amazing brightness ...how much you spend with all these totally brother ...do we get all the circuits which you connected in bangalore SP Road.. we need to know the actual cost so that we dont get cheated buy shops ...let me know how much it was when you made this project ....
Been trying to make my DIY leds for video use but I can't find a cheap floodlight with proper 100w driver. I like their form factor as they're small and compact but can work for bounce lights in tight areas. However, I want to use high CRI LEDs and the ones I own don't have a built in driver, which unfortunately seems to be the case with most of these cheaper floodlights with horrible color casts. Lot of DIY builds have very odd form factors which make them difficult for production environments, other than flexible light panels. I want a cheap LED par or flood light that I can easily swap COBs on!!!
high cri is a major deciding factor.Look at the MRP of GODOX SL60 W its around 9000 rs u will need atleast 3 for a decent production + added light modifiers and stands a minimum of 55000rs
I've seen people connecting the potentiometer along with the trim potentiometer in parallel with some resistors to do the dimming. My question is, is your led still working because I think the led will be killed when u turn the potentiometer too much. Please let me know
What would that look like? Couldnt you just wire the two potentiometers in serie and use 1 potentiometer to set your max where the leds dont blow out and then control the other potentiometer to control the intensity?
LED are diode and have a forward voltage where they just turn 'on'. Using a pot to adj resistance would require not only a pot that can handle that much current would not make much if any difference in brightness. You would want to use a PWM circuit with a mosphet that can handle the current and you would change the duty cycle of the on time to create a perceived difference in brightness. It turns the power off and on very quickly from on 100% of the time for full brightness to something less like 60% on time. This would be a more reliable and probably less expensive but more complicated circuit to give you a brightness control. This is how most led flashlights work and give you the output options.
Be careful with this setup as you're not confirming if the delivered current is in spec with what the LED can handle. Best to check with a multimeter to see how far you can go. If you go over you'll greatly reduce the LED lifespan.
Good video thanks. I didn’t understand a couple of words at 0:32. You said: “We can’t just use any 100 W LED. We need one with good …….” It sounded something like “good CR Rating” but I don’t think that’s right. What do we need to check about the LED Light chip?
@@Nematics_Lab Thanks..... another question. What is the power supply in the video? Is that a rechargable battery? What product and what specification?
Anybody please provide enough calculation , efficiency, voltage and current draw transients ???? , Using hot glue for heatsink that dissapates 100w are u kidding me , okay at least give us what's the led efficiency , or just light efficiency , just copying manufacturer instructions is know by all do somthing by urself .... Btw one guy tried bit banging usb pd using just voltage levels that was a good idea
Very good video, I love it. My question is, can you show us how to make a similar setup using AC that is direct power supply? Rather than using battery? Thank you
Nice DIY project, could you share light spread details. I am wondering if you would like a way to mount them on vehicles and use them for off road lights. Would be Interesting to see

this is great! this video and a few others inspired me to make my own. Although im going to 3d print an enclosure for it
Finally completed my light! Now I need to know how would u go about making it controllable via remote. On and off and brightness adjustment?
Pretty cheap controller circuit boards on aliexpress that let u turn it on or off using wifi
If you know Arduino you could make your own fairly easy with prebuilt libraries or just find some other hardware solution

I have been using these to shoot all my video till this date, no problems so far.
@@Nematics_Lab ok great will try your method and the other method too I ordered lots of LED chips 😁

Required voltage as the led will draw the required amps
I want focus light. Which lens should I use 60 degree or 120 degree which give more focus light?
I need good buck boost converter maximum output 40V 10A 800rs
Where can I buy M3 Bolts ??
That's so nice...if there is any enclosure to this light it will be so good....
What is long distance of this. Please reply as I have to make it for using in farm.
friendo, how do we order in india from banggood
So i have a 32 volt power supply that i wanted to use for my 100watt chip and it turns on for 5 seconds then shuts off?? Any idea why?
This is soo bright. It's nice to use it with a good enclosure. Good project!
podrías armar un circuito que use pilas de litio para llevar esta luz a todas parte !!
Would this work without a battery and wired to 240v instead ?
Nope
For that you also need a different LED-driver.
YES, but you need to find the similar look but 240v led chip on Ebay.
Hlw this light to normal projectors
What is battery Backup
can we adjust its brightness
By applying Variable Voltage
Variable current, not voltage. Leds are current driven.
@@buatt Thanks 🙏
@@buattif you vary voltage, you will vary current
@@Cr1z4n63L with LEDs little voltage variation may lead to big current variation, since it is a nonlinear component. LEDs must be driven by current.

hi,
i tried to make this as shown in the video, but the led just flashes,,, not continuously lighting,,, why?? pls help me,,,
not enough current capacity of source

Hey bro i like your idea, can you make this 3 lights for me , i will pay you... am waiting your response 😊
Damn, just for the LED and the Heat sink is over 50 USD alone.
