Some niches are indeed easier than others. But trust me when I say the movie niche isn't one of them. Its a lot of work for very little payout. My next video on the subject will talk about how much these channels make and how I suspect people are able to upload movie trailers. Its best to get training if you're interested in making a living doing RUclips. I know courses have certainly helped me.
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 Movie clips are a niche I'd avoid. It would be better to make content about something you're passionate about with a higher CPM and slightly less competition. The odds of having a successful movie clips channel may be about the same as having a successful gaming channel.
I have several channels in this niche. Using 5 seconds of movie clips will not work for you, the video has several filters to use, as well as transforming it, such as mirror zoom. The fair use thing the copied text inside the description doesn't work either. If your video has any complaint either manually or from the RUclips bot, your video will be reviewed by the manager of the owner company. This type of channel takes a lot of work is not simple as you expose, it takes a day to edit the video plus have a test channel. Greetings and I follow your channel for months.

@@AIContentAcademy the thing is I don’t want to upload movies, just want to upload some funny parts of other famous bloggers, or something like that - to make my video more engaging
So if I want to upload full movies onto youtube, all I have to do is edit them, as I put in background Imaging, change the picture, and even take a minute or two off at the ending of the credits?
Great Video! But i have some Questions. I want to start to upload edits of movies(For example Spiderman edits)as RUclips shorts and NOT normal RUclips Videos. So do i need to take care the same in shorts like in normal videos or is it more chilled in shorts?Right now i can't even get monetized so is it ok if one clip is 10 seconds or something long in shorts or can i use 5 seconds of the clip, cut 2 seconds of the clip and then use the next 5 seconds of the scene?
Copyright rules apply equally to Shorts and regular RUclips videos. Using clips from movies without permission, even in Shorts, could still lead to copyright strikes. While you can't be monetized yet, it's best to establish good practices early. Using very short clips (like 5 seconds or less) and editing them creatively may fall under fair use, but this isn't guaranteed. I'd encourage using 5-second clips with 2-second cuts between them, as you suggested. This approach: Keeps clips brief. Adds your own creative editing. Transforms the original more substantially. May have a better fair use argument. But do be aware there's still some risk involved. Consider using only public domain or properly licensed footage to be safe.
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 What don't you understand about the statement? Movie or Tv show clips that are under 6 seconds are considered fair use.
To record clips from movies directly to your laptop, you can use screen recording software. Here are a few popular options: 1. **OBS Studio**: OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software) is a versatile and free open-source screen recording and streaming software. It's commonly used for game streaming, but it can also record any content displayed on your screen, including movie clips. 2. **Camtasia**: Camtasia is a user-friendly screen recording and video editing software. While it's not free, it offers advanced features for recording and editing videos, making it a good choice for creating polished movie clips. 3. **Snagit**: Snagit, made by the same company as Camtasia, is a simpler screen capture tool that allows you to quickly capture specific parts of your screen, including movie clips. 4. **Bandicam**: Bandicam is a screen recording software known for its efficient performance and ability to capture high-quality videos, including movie clips. 5. **Filmora Scrn**: Filmora Scrn is a screen recording software that offers features specifically designed for capturing and editing gameplay and screen content. 6. **Apowersoft Screen Recorder**: Apowersoft Screen Recorder is an online screen recording tool that allows you to capture videos from your screen, including movie clips. It offers both a desktop version and a web-based version. Before recording movie clips, it's important to understand copyright laws and fair use guidelines. Recording and using copyrighted content without permission might violate copyright laws. If you plan to use movie clips for educational, commentary, critique, or other transformative purposes, be sure to research and understand fair use principles in your jurisdiction. Always use screen recording software responsibly and ethically, and respect copyright and intellectual property rights.
Hello there, I followed your video tutorial and started a movie recap channel. I personally wrote and recorded the script and then edited the movie scene by scene to correspond with the script. Just find the clip that matches it? Or.... Just change the part of the script that will go according to the specific clip but make sure it all connects with the next clip and doesn't go off the topic. Also make clips less than 3 secs to be more safe
The easiest way to do it is to go to a third party site that streams the movie for free. Use a screen recording app to screen record the movie. Read the script and according to the script edit the footage to where it matches with what is being said. Yes it will take a very long time to edit the footage, but if you didn’t have the money to outsource it to someone that can do that for you, that is your only option. I’ve just started my recap channel and so far I’ve done 3 videos just like I described to you and haven’t gotten any copyright claims or content IDs. The edits have taken anywhere between 5 to 6 hours. But it’s worth it because I’ve haven’t experienced any trouble so far. My clips are usually 2 to 3 seconds and I switch them back and forth. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 I'm not sure how a channel like this can exist without getting copyright strikes 🤷🏿♂️... So I asked ChatGPT. It gave me the following information "RUclips also has a Content ID system that automatically scans videos uploaded to the platform and detects copyrighted material. Copyright owners can choose to allow the use of their content in certain ways, such as allowing it to be used in a specific video or channel, or by monetizing it through ads. This can be a way for RUclips channels to use movie clips legally and avoid copyright strikes, as long as the copyright holder has granted them permission or has allowed their use through the Content ID system." I hope this helps.

I would wager that its not likely that you could monetize a channel based on movie clips without providing a voiceover. In fact, RUclips is actively cracking down on "low effort" content.

Channels that reupload movie clips often face challenges with copyright issues and monetization. However, there are alternative revenue sources they can explore:
1. **Affiliate Marketing**: Promote movie-related products, merchandise, or services through affiliate links in your video descriptions.
2. **Sponsorships and Partnerships**: Collaborate with brands or companies that align with your niche, and negotiate sponsored content or partnerships.
3. **Patreon or Membership Platforms**: Offer exclusive content, early access, or other perks to subscribers who support your channel on platforms like Patreon.
4. **Donations and Crowdfunding**: Encourage viewers to support your content through platforms like Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee.
5. **Create Original Content**: Shift your focus from reuploading movie clips to creating original content, such as reviews, analyses, or discussions related to movies.
6. **Educational Content**: Offer educational videos about filmmaking techniques, storytelling, or the history of cinema.
7. **Licensing Services**: If you have access to high-quality, original movie-related content, license it to other platforms, creators, or businesses for use.
8. **Merchandise**: Design and sell merchandise related to movies or your channel's niche.
9. **Courses and Tutorials**: Create courses or tutorials related to movie editing, effects, or other filmmaking skills.
10. **Adapt to Other Platforms**: Explore opportunities on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or podcasts to diversify your content and income.
Remember that building a sustainable revenue stream takes time and effort. Not really. Copyright trolls try to take credit for EVERYTHING. That's why you always have to appeal.
I am definitely interested in starting a RUclips channel that doesn't take too much of my time
Thanks for watching and commenting. Love your name, btw! That was a GREAT comic series.
I also like that you're interested in starting a channel. What RUclips content creation classes have you taken?
@@AIContentAcademy I have not taken any classes I just know that some of these channels are easy I just don't know software and different programs I could use to make it a reality
@@AIContentAcademy do you recommend niche that easier to make and more compensated? . I'm new to your channel.
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 Movie clips are a niche I'd avoid. It would be better to make content about something you're passionate about with a higher CPM and slightly less competition. The odds of having a successful movie clips channel may be about the same as having a successful gaming channel.
So great video and pertinent advises, Thanks!
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
I have several channels in this niche. Using 5 seconds of movie clips will not work for you, the video has several filters to use, as well as transforming it, such as mirror zoom. The fair use thing the copied text inside the description doesn't work either. If your video has any complaint either manually or from the RUclips bot, your video will be reviewed by the manager of the owner company. This type of channel takes a lot of work is not simple as you expose, it takes a day to edit the video plus have a test channel. Greetings and I follow your channel for months.

Yeah.. but how do you upload clips to RUclips without getting copyrighted, but by also actually uploading a clip. How are people like “TopMovieClips” or “BestClip” able to upload clips?
Thanks for watching and commenting. Are you certain those channels are monetized? I'm writing a video on how you can check a channel's monetization status that should be out soon.
In either case, its possible that those channels have worked out an arrangement with the studios who own the movies they use.
@@AIContentAcademy yeah, im trying to do the same by contacting Walt Disney Studios to see if i can get permission to upload the clips, it takes a while though, as it said it would take 10 days for them to respond
Please let me know how contacting Disney goes. I'm sure MANY people on the channel would like to know what you did, who you contacted, etc.
@@AIContentAcademy Well for clips that people may want to upload to YT, it may be different, as for i only know how to contact Walt Disney Studios. It took me a while, but eventually i found out further into searching.
All i did was went to google and typed in “Walt Disney Studios Clip & Still Licensing Request Form”
It should take you to a form where you have to put information about the clip that you want to upload, what movie the clip is from etc. And after submitting it lets you know that you should get an email in within 10 days.
Thank you for this. This is so much more than people currently have.

@@AIContentAcademy @DebtBusters247 If it was me, I'd take the video down, re-edit it, then upload it again. You could either remove that part or place a text box on that section warning people not to use it. I highly doubt that many people will see my comment. You used to be able to find RUclips downloaders quite easily. I've had several. But RUclips has really gone after those, so the ones that are still active are most likely malware. That being the case, I screen record any footage that I want to use. That's actually easier for me than going through all the hassle of downloading it.
I do this type of videos on my other channel. But views aren’t high at all not even 100 views. And the impressions are even more frustrating.

u can do that with games and anything else
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 Gaming on RUclips involves navigating copyright issues related to game content, music, cutscenes, and more. Many creators rely on fair use principles, while others seek permission from game developers. Always review game developer policies and consider transforming content through commentary or critique to strengthen your fair use claim. Understanding and respecting copyright laws will help you avoid issues and create content that complies with legal and platform requirements.

Did the Roadhouse Facts video get demonetized?
This approach:
Keeps clips brief.
Adds your own creative editing.
Transforms the original more substantially.
May have a better fair use argument.
But do be aware there's still some risk involved. Consider using only public domain or properly licensed footage to be safe.
@@AIContentAcademy Ok, thanks for the answer😊
I don't understand the "using clips shorter than 5 seconds at a time while editing"

What software do you recomnend to record clips straighf from the movie, that played on my laptop. 1080p quality for old movies and 4k for new
To record clips from movies directly to your laptop, you can use screen recording software. Here are a few popular options:

Little issues with the editing aspect, script ain't matching video clips...any ideas how to do dat?
Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 What are you using to edit the video?
It worked for me with my channel only being a few days old.

So I asked ChatGPT.
It gave me the following information
"RUclips also has a Content ID system that automatically scans videos uploaded to the platform and detects copyrighted material. Copyright owners can choose to allow the use of their content in certain ways, such as allowing it to be used in a specific video or channel, or by monetizing it through ads. This can be a way for RUclips channels to use movie clips legally and avoid copyright strikes, as long as the copyright holder has granted them permission or has allowed their use through the Content ID system."
I hope this helps.

I would wager that its not likely that you could monetize a channel based on movie clips without providing a voiceover. In fact, RUclips is actively cracking down on "low effort" content.
