Great job and welcome back. Can you tell us what you did with your orchard for the spring, summer, and fall? Did you clean it, rent it out, or prepare and tend for fall harvest?
The apple trees were pruned at the beginning of spring and we recently cleared all the grass and weeds out ready for harvest. It’s been exceptionally hot here this summer and lots of the apples have fallen already, so it may be an early harvest this year.

I don’t see an air vent fan ? Even though you have a window an air vent fan helps so much. Plus fans come with lights and heaters, and we love the heater air vent in our Bathroom. For the Pex piping? I always worry about changes in temperature during the year and if it will crack the tubing and if there are any rodent problems as they will chew the tubing. The house we moved into has a raised sink and it is such a pain to clean and water spills out so easily. Had you thought of using a surfaced or recessed mount medicine cabinet with storage and mirror doors? This would give you lots of light from the mirror and storage so things are off the counter. I didn’t see other areas for storage. I like the use of tiles up the walls halfway. It makes it so much easier to keep things clean and it looks nice.

We’re think to install a wall cabinet behind the door when you enter the room for extra storage, we’re also not a fan of keeping things out on the surface. We’re really happy with the sink, it’s a good size to avoid spilling water out on to the surface and it looks really great with the rest of the design choices. We made sure to leave enough space all the way around for easy wiping and access for cleaning properly. The tiles are definitely one of our favourite parts so that’s great that you like those 😊

Thanks for the comment Michele 😊 I think it’s probably the neighbour’s dog you can hear, our garden is fenced and Ernie is free to go in and out as much as he likes (so long as it’s not raining) 😅. He particularly loves chasing balls and digging in the sand pile! 😂

Thank you! 😊 Ooh, that’s a very sensitive subject, haha. I’m afraid we don’t really have the bandwidth for arguing with a lot of upset Swedes and Italians after bringing that up. I think it’s important to keep in mind that everyone are different and have different experiences in a place. The things we value a lot in our Italian life might be something a 33 year old Italian can’t stand (and the other way around).
I'll mention something here, even a coupe years late I'd imagine, but those large flat tiles , soapy water, and wet feet are a significant slip and fall hazard..
Haha they are actually not slippery at all. We have them in the other bathroom as well and they work great (believe me, Im the first person to fall on anything possible haha).

It does also add some noise dampening, plus it’s easier when it comes to hanging lighter things on the wall - you don’t always need to look for a stud.
Ale! We had a busy summer and didn’t get a chance to make videos. Haha I know about the bidet, this is every Italian’s nightmare, maybe we will add the shower hose at the toilet instead as an alternative option.

Hi Barbara, well spotted. However, what you didn’t pick up on is that we’ve left room for a bidet and have also included a provision for the more modern shower hose at the toilet. But in all honesty, if we ever sell it will more likely be to the Northern European buyers and then it wouldn’t be an issue at all! 👍

Thank you! The tiles are a porcelain "Terrazzo" style tile, we bought them from a company called "Iperceremica" - an Italian tile supplier.

Did you install an exhaust fan for your bath?
Since there is a window we have not installed an exhaust fan, however depending on the level of humidity we may add one retrospectively later on
Looks great but why not break a little of that tile in sink and place a white marble or granite? Too much of the spotty tile, my opinion 😕😊

Just interested, but why do you use osb as well as plasterboard?
It’s a standard practice in Sweden, adds extra stiffness to the wall plus a few other benefits 😊
