If its with hammer, you will need to do what is basically a dash jump. Its quite hard to explain but its just muscle memory. If its with gauntlets that you cant hit dlight rec, to make it easier you need to gravity cancel the dlight and then chase dodge into the recovery. I hope this helps :)

Depends what weapon your playing against, if its something like lance then hammer is pretty much always gonna win off stage, but if its something like gauntlets its harder to pull it off
