When i Listen to Kenny… I Cry … because how Beautiful those Songs Are
Nobody could touch someone's soul through music, like Kenny Rogers. It was who he was. Kenny also developed a love for photography. His book "Your Friends And Mine" tells the stories behind his quest to photograph some of his favorite celebrities. Through those photographs, along with some simple words, Kenny speaks volumes.
This is my parents special song to each other. Dad passed away over a decade ago, and I had a video put together of years of pictures of our families memories together, and it played at his memorial service. This was the first song on the video. I still cry to this day, every time I hear it, regardless of where I am. At the time of his passing, he and mom had been married 55 years !! Thanks for reacting to this one. I’ve been a Kenny Rogers fan, my whole life. I got to see him with my mom, three times, over the years before Kenny passed.
I'm 70 and have never heard a bad song from Kenny Rogers. I've been a fan since I first heard him.
After 35 years of marriage, 5 children, 3 of them married, 5 grand kids.... This song sums up everything
Spare a thought for the people of the world who have none of those things and are are alone.
That's awesome great congrats for 35 yrs of marriage
When this song came out,I hadn't heard it yet , but my husband had. It came on the car radio and he asked me to listen to it. When it was over, he quietly said, that's how i feel about you! Needless to say, I lost it! We have been married 43 years and he is the love of my life!! Kenny Rogers was a phenominal talent!! Love your reaction !!
Okay, some must hits for Kenny are "You Decorated My Life", "Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer", "We've Got Tonight" and "She Believes In Me"
This song does say it all when you are lucky enough to have that special someone and you’ve been through everything together. Love your reaction.
Kenny Rogers magic voice, heals you and makes you feel joyful☮️ So glad he left us all his beautiful recordings ‘through the years’ 🥰
Thanks for this Shawn & Mel !
So nostalgic for me. Sang this at my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary back in the 80s!
One of my top 3 favorite songs by Kenny...This is an awesome song...Loved this one since the day it was released.
Marty Panzer wrote the lyrics for this song as well as many hits for other artists including Barry Manilow. Fun fact: I never met Marty but his cousin is a friend of mine. She has shown me pictures of her, Marty and Barry having dinner in New York City.
Kenny had a way of touching your heart like no other!! ❤❤❤
I forgot about this song. Thank you guys for reacting to it. While it was playing I started to tear up. It reminded me of the greatest loss of my life. The death of my beloved Mom. She died on 7 June 2007. Through the years it still hurts, makes me sad, I cry, I remember good, endearing moments with her. I miss her hugs and kisses. It also reminds me of the years I spent in High school Confirmation/Life Teen/Youth ministry. Seeing so many teenagers get that after Confirmation joy and glow. Some stay as leaders for years. The second major tear producer. I miss my kids. Now adults, some with families of their own.
Side notes: There is or was a tribute to Pope John Paul II with this song on You Tube. If you want tug at my heartstrings again I suggest Connie Francis bilingual Italian/English "Mama"
This song makes me cry. I always remember my mom. Miss you mom. Through the year you were there. Miss you so much.
Exactly. Me too
I'm so glad you two did a reaction to this song! I don't know you, but your love is written all over your faces and THIS song was made for you!
Country music has so much soul, it just hits your heart and the storytelling is bar none!
You see they way they look at each other boys and girls? That is the way that people that grew from the bumps, potholes, loss and pain instead of quitting they built love. See how they look at each other. These two people have overcome and you can see it.
I knew you’d get teary eyed on this! We put this on a playlist for my parents 50th anniversary party. It’s so good, esp for any couple who have built a life together.
Great song great reaction. My mom loved Kenny. We played this at her funeral and I'm sure she loved it.
Damn….this song ALWAYS gets me in my heart. Especially at the end when the orchestra swells. It fills my heart & I get chills EVERY time. Even when I heard it as a child back in ‘81, and I had no experience yet in love, in KNEW that was LOVE y’all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm going to dedicate this song to you two. Your love comes through and it's a beautiful thing to see.
You two remind me of myself and my husband ! Such a similar vibe.... even though we're in our 60's now .... been married nearly 40 years .... I know you're younger than us ! This song resonates with me .... thank you for the music and great reactions. 😊
I love your reaction. The power of a love song.
I cry thru this entire song, every time I hear it
Beautiful ❤️
I love your reaction to this beautiful song. Kenny had the voice and looks to get what he wanted.
This song is absolutely beautiful and Kenny delivered a heart felt vocal performance, I feel this song isn't spoken about much when people talk Kenny songs...and it's high time it should be.
I love this song. My favorite song by Kenny is You Decorated My Life
This is one of Kenny's best!!!
Me and my wife saw him in concert twice, what a privilege that was 😍❤
My dad sang this song to my mom. They did not have a church wedding. He gave her a ceremony on their 15th anniversary. That was 40 years ago and they are still going strong
I just love you two so much ❤❤❤
Love The World Away by Kenny Rogers is also beautiful.
One of my favorites from the Legendary Kenny Rodgers, yea this song says it all for those long time married couples, you definitely have iOS and down but the love goes on, I’ve been married 33 years, when others we’ve known have only lasted 1, 5 , or 7 years. Thank you Kenny Rodgers for sharing your great talents with the world! RIP 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🎤🎤🎤🎤
This song is a Beautiful song..A true Love song about SOUL MATES
Such a sweet song of love so true…
One word for this song...PRECIOUS! ❤❤❤❤
You guys will love this song, also check out Kenny's "You Decorated my Life."
My husband and I have invested 33 years. We enjoy listening to and singing Kenny Roger songs. Have you reacted to islands in the stream? he sang this with Dolly Parton. A favorite of ours...☝️✨🤓 Peace.
If you want to hear a nice Church song by Kenny one of my favorites is 'I Believe' the first time I heard it was him singing. It's magical when his voice is so beautiful!

R.I.P. Kenny,
Great reaction!!! I highly recommend listening to two great Kenny Rogers duets: "We've Got Tonight" with Sheena Easton (I really recommend watching the performance video for this one) and "Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer" with Kim Carnes.
My favorite Kenny song.
I dedicated this to my husband on our Anniversary ❤. We will be married 42 yrs in June and I'm so glad God has been good to us always getting us through the year's! 🙏♥️
Shawn & Mel, you must listen to She Believes in Me. It will bring you to tears!
My mother had this played at my father's funeral. She lost him after 45 yrs together. She still cries when she hears this song, and all of us children cry along beside her every time.
Kenny Rogers, "Let's go out in a blaze of glory!!!"
This song so touching 😢❤❤❤
this was written by Steve Dorff and Marty Panzer
Every song he sung was golden. 😢 I wish someone would react to his song King of Oak Street. No one has ever reacted to that song. YALL BE THE FIRST. Lionel Ritchie wrote some of his songs, but Kenny had many different writers.
Wonderful reaction. They two of you look so cute together. Keep the love between you two and Happy and blessed Easter to you guys and your family.
Every time my pops heard this in the car tears rolled down his face. He loved my mom. RIP dad!
Always makes my eyes tear up. Now that I’ve been married for 32 years it all makes sense to me now.
Lyrics by Martin Panzer, composed by Stephen Hartley Dorff and performed by the great Kenny Rogers
Hey fellow Marylanders
Kenny has a special way of pulling at the heart strings right?
Love the channel!
Kenny Rogers is an amazing singer. He could sing a dictionary and make you feel it. And this is a beautiful song on its own but Kenny turns it into magic!!!😍 PS I said this before I got to the end of the video and you said the exact same thing!!!!🤯
Happy Easter Shawn and Mel Love watching u a your love for each other shows

The longer you are married the words are very true. Sums it all up❤️❤️

Such a beautiful song, Kenny Roger's could definitely put feeling in a song.
My very top favourite Kenny song - although he doesn't MAKE a bad one. Great job :)
"Through the Years" is a song written by Steve Dorff and Marty Panzer, and recorded by American country music artist Kenny Rogers. It was released in December 1981 as the fourth single from the album Share Your Love.
oh I love Kenny singing this song soooooooooo much !
Wow! Kenny Rogers ,one of a kind!! This song pertains to every couple going thru life together! All good times and the bad! Thanks for reacting Shawn and Mel! Can you do a reaction to George Jones " Window up Above" thank u
Crying my eyes out. My wife of 35 years. We have been through it all.
Yep married 41 years and we love this song this has become our anthem. Glad to share it with you
Nobody sings a love song like Kenny Roger's. PERIOD. Great reaction.
"What About Me?" is being sung by Kenny Rogers, James Ingram and Kim Carnes. Do give it a listen
The song was written by Steve Dorff and Marty Panzer.
Kenny Rogers is in a class of so few...
Love your reaction. Another Kenny song that will touch your heart is Buy You a Rose
❤my dad passed away this September ..my parents were married 55 years, together 57. High school sweethearts..we played GOODBYE by Kenny..he's a great storyteller..😢😊❤
I love how yall love Kenny! (meeeeeeee too!!)
You two make my heart happy
Thank you Amy❤️
My late husband and I had this song sung at our 25th silver anniversary.
You guys always put a smile on my face ❤❤❤
Did you guys realize that the opening clip for your show of Robert Palmer's video 'Addicted to love' is the video Shania Twain mimicked in her 'Man, I feel like a woman', video? Makes me smile every time your page starts. Shania has beautiful women behind her. She is a 'girl power' kinda gal. As for this song, it is one of my favorite songs by him. It is perfect for any loving couple. I just saw a video of him & Dolly Parton doing a duet together, not long before he passed. It was called 'You can't make old friends' & it was really cool, describing their long friendship.
If you love this, kick the door wide open. Kenny had two complete careers across the decades from the late '60s as a folk/rock and roll singer with The First Edition and as a solo country artist from the mid '70s forward. Check out Ruby, don't take your love to town; Reuben James; and Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In with the First Edition. Then Lucille, Islands In The Stream(with Dolly Parton); The Gambler and Lady ( written for Kenny by Lionel Ritchie)
I remember a few years ago when you guys were "through with each other" but yall worked it out and Love prevails.
I love this song although I'm 57 and always been om my own i did love some but unfortunately she didn't feel the same way but didn't want anyone else. So decided too stay on my own sadly she died last year.
Ahhh, KENNETH RAY ROGERS, one of my loves. 💘 Okay, ready for another beautiful Kenny song?? It's called YOU DECORATED MY LIFE. You really need to listen to the words. Soooo beautiful. Others to add to your list should be THE GREATEST and SWEET MUSIC MAN. If you wanna see Kenny getting his sexy on, react to the music video for MORNING DESIRE. WhooWee, Kenny's on 🔥.
Other Kenny songs The gambler,Ruby, coward of the county.
Midnight Star Slow Jams the live video from the 80s. It’s about 8 minutes long!!!!
I love this song, I’m 24 and ppl around my age doesn’t listen to songs like this… I guess I’m just an old soul. You should check out Lady also, and Maybe this time by Michael Murphy 😊
Another great song written by lionel ritchie for kenny rogers who did a great job
I would suggest his song The Greatest. Of all of his great story songs, I think this is his best. It's about one of my favorite things in life, stripped down to its simplest, but most precious, form.
I danced with my aunt/godmother at my wedding to this cause my mom had passed away before I got married
The counter balance to that one is Jerry Reeds She got the gold mine I got the shaft.
Reuben James is another great song by Kenny Rogers.
Hello friends ❤ Check out the song's
Possession & The Time Alone With You, By Bad English, Audio ❤
Steve Dorff and Marty Panzer wrote this song.
You should checkout Kenny‘s song „Just Dropped In(To See What Condition My Condition Was In)“. It’s a psychedelic rock song that came out in 1967 and peaked at #5 on the billboard charts. Cheers
Steve Dorff & Marty Panzer wrote “through the years”. I “Googled” it.
