Relevant to me as I'm looking to pick up a Huztl 372XP and was wondering if that "German" chain would work on it. Even more relevant is a lot of the wood I cut here in Colorado is soft pine and looks identical to what you're cutting. Pine is not my first choice but it's all over here and in our 1-10% humidity summers it's seasoned in a month.
Love that nice tight chain. The log-dogs on that saw are just like those on my made-in-Hamburg Dolmar 64. I passed on a pro-grade Husky because it came with one small 'dog on one side. Their logic was sound: it is hard on the bar, chain, and the saw to apply excess leverage using large 'dogs. It is also not as safe and you know how they have to preach safety. But I like my big dogs.
Agreed, I guess a scissors is dangerous in the wrong hands and If I were to sell that saw to a Sunday saw man Id reduce spikes, those are an add on the spikes came with it are smaller.
I just recieved a couple of those chains in the mail. Looking forward to seeing how they cut. Thanks for posting.
Might be a little soft but I'd take that over the file skipping off that bad stuff...

Great looking chain!
