Mag-lights were great in the day but they have been passed by a lot good stuff.

I did like the bigger Mag Lites with the on / off button them and none of that twisting action bull butter like the mini's have.... That is the downfall for the mini lite IMHO..... You are correct on the better stuff made nowadays......
My lite gets used everyday and still going strong with no issues .........
      Plus Tard Non'c Bruce ............

I have a need for a good flashlight everytime the sun goes down. After trying a mess of lights and having dead batteries every 3 or 4 days, I stumbled onto a cheap and very easy solution. Walmart sells an "Ozark Trail" flashlight that is 16 and 1/2 inches long and feels like a billy club in your hand. It takes 4 AA batteries and outshines and outlasts, everything else I've tried. Sells for $14.99. I bought two of them, a battery charger off eBay and about 20 Energizer rechargeable batteries. Man, these last 2 years, I have helped a bunch of friends at night and to the man they say, "damn, where did you buy that light, I need one like that" ? When I tell them Walmart $14.99, they can't believe it.

I have heard of the Ozark brand name but not the flashlight..... Not a bad deal at all.... How about the lifetime warranty ??

It may have some type of warranty, but at $14.99 if it had something wrong with it I wouldn't mail it back to Ozark, I'd just buy a new one. There are 2 types at Walmart a plain one (like mine) and one with a wide angle focusing ring, also $14.99 They're made real nice and sturdy. If you used one as a club, say when you're coon hunting or on a mean dog, it would hold up. If I cut into you selling your lights I apologize, I wasn't thinking. I just saw you and thought, "there's somebody that appreciates a good light". Maglites are crap, just like you said.

The mini-mag works a bunch better with the LED conversion. They used to be pretty wimpy though. Cheers Boo =)

Thanks for sharing Drew..... 30 bux retail is on the higher side of Maglite . Mags are 15 to 20 bux........ These are not cheap quality at all...... If you would see one in person you would be amazed...
My son in law had one of those stream lite I think for 80 bux and this is the same quality but no recharge on the batts.....
