Background of the dance: This is a Tang Dynasty Dance named “丽人行,” which depicts Yang Yuhuan, one of the Four Beauties of ancient China. She was the beloved consort of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang during his later years. Emperor Xuanzong was a wise and competent emperor and created the most affluent, powerful, and prosperous period of Tang Dynastic. But he started to slack off on his work after he fell in love with Yang Yuhuan, and was blamed for over-trusting Yang’s relatives during his late reign and ending Tang’s golden age in the Anshi Rebellion. When the emperor fled for the Rebellion, his guards demanded the death of Yang Yuhuan as they blame her and her family for the Rebellion. The emperor eventually reluctantly ordered the death of his lover Yang Yuhuan… This dance is inspired by a poetry with the same name, 丽人行, by a great poet Dufu, the “Poet-Sage” and “Poet-Historian” in Chinese literary culture, whose greatest ambition was to serve the country as a successful civil servant but whose life, like the whole country, was devastated by the Anshi Rebellion. Omg at 1:39 😍😍 i just love how their heads drop right on point with the beat. It looked so elegant and delicate idk how to describe it but it was so beautiful. They’re flexible and strong too, i cant imagine how heavy their hair must be with the adornments on. And the robes with the huge sleeves bro😭 they look like goddesses
저는 한국인이에요. 麗人行에 매료되어서 여러 버전을 찾아봤지만, 이 리드무희처럼 저를 사로잡은 사람은 없었습니다. 당삼채에서 볼 법한 우아하고 부드러운 춤사위, 때론 절도있으면서 교태있고 요염해요. 그러면서도 고상한 아취가 넘치고요. 다른 무희랑 비교해보면, 정말 손끝이나 팔 움직임이 한끝 차이인데 그 디테일에서 놀랍도록 고상하고 우미하다는 감정을 받게 되는 것 같습니다. 몇 번을 돌려봐도 놀랍고 감탄하게 되는 영상입니다. 아울러 당나라 문화는 동북아 문명의 뿌리이자 그 국제성으로 가장 화려한 문명의 기반이 되었던 것 같습니다.

지구인 This is definitely naive statement. Letting along 10-year period is too short for eliminating Chinese dance(most good dancers stopped innovation during that time, but the art was kept), Korean dance is in lack of various movements to give much inspiration. It is simply so limited in style. No offense. I’m not saying it’s not beautiful, but it’s just so limited compared to Chinese dance styles/operas/etc. To support my statement, I’ve seen performances of different kinds from sooo many areas where cultural revolution didn’t have much impact on(even the wooden stages were kept in old styles)
@@지구인-h3c foot binding only started during the Song Dynasty and only lasted for a little over 1000yrs. And not all the women bound their foot. That is not enough time to weaken nor eliminate traditional Chinese dances.
I'm not a chinese but I started learning Chinese language a few months ago. I've taken an interest on it because I'm quite fond of reading manga, webtoon and manhua. I learned quite a few of their culture from reading and I think it's beautiful that I started watching chinese videos. I fell in love of their culture even more when I saw this😭😍 It's just so beautiful and I really admire the dancers. I'm a dancer myself and I've been dancing in festival competitions for 4 years now but I know it will take me years to become this good. But nevermind, they're my new inspiration😍😍

Đúng! Trừ phần chính trị ra, cái gì thuộc Trung Quốc mình cũng yêu hết! Vì ông nội mình cũng từ bên Quảng Đông - Trông Quốc sang đây. Thật sự nể phục nền văn hoá mà học đã bảo trì đến tận giờ (những kiến trúc cổ xưa, điệu múa, nhạc kịch, âm nhạc đến cách trang điểm và những bộ trang phục hoa mỹ mà thướt tha...). Mình thích tiếng Trung lắm nhưng chưa có thời gian để tập trung học, ngôn từ của họ đa dạng và phong phú y như tiếng Việt của mình vậy.
