    You remind me of our good neighbor and friend who passed away few weeks ago. He'd farmed his whole life and had a meat business fir 30 some years. His son helped but he did the most of..himself. He made his last hay past summer at 92. Stopped doing corn several years ago..

    I started from scratch this year. Now when i see an operation i understand the many years of work and investment just to be able to take on this labor of love. Grit is the only way.

      Starting from scratch is very hard. So congratulations to you and good luck. It’s hard even after you are established to farm. And it’s definitely a labor of love. Especially right now when everything costs so much but the return is small.

    can I ask WHY IN GODS NAME DID YOU NOT HAVE THE 3 GREEN GATES IN THE LOADING BAY TURNED TOWARDS YOU BEFORE YOU HAD CATTLE ENTER THE LOAD AREA, that way as the 9 weanlings pass through you bring the gate with you each time NOT have the bliming gate gone forward, then trying to Muscle the gate against the animals to retrieve it, and i only as far as 2.19 on the video and i tearing my hair out. liam

    guys the old man is scared of the cows or calves

    • @KYfarming
      @KYfarming  3 года назад +3

      Not scared, cautious. He has some cows and calves that are very violent. He and others in the family as been sent to the ER for broken bones because of his and my fathers cows. So it’s a well placed caution.

      @@KYfarming It’s called common sense. After you get ran over a few times you definitely learn to watch out.
