      it's very easy - come to Lux two years ago as a trainee in EU institutions and live with landlord in the same place since you moved in hahahaa kidding, I have no clue how to find it now that's one of the reasons why I'm not moving out haha

    Is it possible to save up to 1,000 Euro per month as an unskilled worker in Luxembourg?

    Hi thanks for sharing your content! Do you have any tips for side hustles while being a trainee in Lux? I'm a bit surprised they didnt raise the salary for EU trainees while whole Europe is facing inflation right... :(

      Looking that you're gonna do 40h per week and I'm not sure if you can work on other contract (like working at the bar for example) in the meantime other than social media doesn't come to my mind :c or maybe like babysitting or dog walking/pet sitting? Everyone always says about copywriting bit I'm not too creative on side hustle to be honest 🙈

    Hello) I was wondering how much time does it take to open a bank account in Luxembourg.
    I'm arriving in Luxembourg in a week for eu traineeship, but as a citizen of non European country I need a eu bank account. And I'm afraid I won't manage to do it on time before my grant for the first month will be paid 😢

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  Год назад

      For me as EU citizen it took not even 1h after setting an appointment online for time that suited me, at eu institutions you usually have inside a speurkasse (I think I misspelled it) and it's usually an easy process, and then you wait a week or two for a card but the account is set up, I'm not sure if there is some.more inconvenience if you're not eu citizen 🙈

    What about the tax?

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  5 месяцев назад +1

      The taxes are deducted from you salary each month so I don't take it as an expense as I don't receive it at the first point and then you have annual income tax that is a whole different story

    • @thilinigunasekara8046
      @thilinigunasekara8046 5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi thanks for reply 🙂. So it’s a monthly payment yea? If it’s like what’s the percentage?

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@thilinigunasekara8046 I don't find it as a payment as my salary comes to me already with deduction, I technically never see the gross one instead of the moment I sign the contract with the company so I don't count it as my monthly expense because it's also not counted in my monthly income (idk of it makes sense). Yes, it is few % for different contributions including health and pension fund, the tax is also variable depends on your civil status and amount of kids you have

      @@ByMagdaYT Thanks for the reply again🙏 so I got a offer of 2300 Euro in a hotel as a receptionist, Im still in Dubai . I just wanted to know this salary comes after the tax or how it works? Sorry for bothering u dear,

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  5 месяцев назад

      @@thilinigunasekara8046 you can clarify it with them but usually here when they propose you a job it's gross salary (so beifre taxes). You can check your net salary by using one of the calculators - simply type on google "net salary Luxembourg" and that should give you the result more or less 😌
