I would have replaced the last 2 to 3 lvls with fighter, since adding action surge can really improve things a lot.

Ur the best, I was having trouble building a rogue scout and this solved all the problems I was having!

I suppose a bugbear scout rogue would be interesting

i like rouge14/Ranger 6 to get extra 5 feet and a climb/swim speed. or if you want the spells 12/8 split is nice

The 14/6 split makes a lot of sense

I'd be drawn to 11/9 or 13/7 depending on the combination of the subclasses.

@woutvanostaden1299 agreed like the gloomstalker. Pick up iron mind and dip. Also you don't miss any ASI thanks to rogues extra one at 10. So leaving before 8 doesn't hurt and you get your later subclass features in rogue.

@DapperSnapperGaming yea scout subclass and ranger nets you an extra 15 feet this way. I know scout is not the best but depending on race 40-50 ft of walk/swim/climb movement is nice.

@@PaintballaJkilla depending on subclass if it's phantom I'd like to reach lvl 13 in rogue, but with swashbuckler that isn't really necessary and a very similar thing works for ranger. Depending playstyle getting 3rd lvl spells can be crucial (Ashardalons stride is great for kiting) or if they have a nice 7th lvl feature like fae wonderer with a race that likes to flirt/intimidate can be what the entire build revolves around.
(Hmm 7 lvls of fae wanderer rest in swashbuckler as Fizbans metallic dragonborn could be pretty need. Lots of charm and fear to spread around in combat and super suave and charming in social situations. Now how do I fit in enough warlock/sorcerer or bard lvls in to also get greater invisibility.)

Thorn whip might be a rogue's (druid dips are always solid anyway. Perhaps soul knife could take a druid dip. Thri-kreen would work well with the weaknesses of the soulknife. Throwing psychic knives while still holding a shield and a rapier {and 20 AC is pretty good for a druid maybe also take sentinel} with moon we could turn into an ape CR ½ which has hands and a thrown attack, so this is perfect to just throw your daggers with instead.) since it's a melee spell attack with 30ft range, but if we take it spell sniper it's 60 and if we have metamagic adept distant spell that's like attacking with a 120ft whip. That's a long whip!!! (That also hurts more) Hmm maybe this works better with some warlock or sorcerer on a swashbuckler. Warlock could also get you extra attack or sorcerer for haste and consistent off turn attacks. 🤣😆😁😁😁

The scout is my favorite rogue subclass. It makes a good thematic multiclass with hunter ranger or a barbarian for some added flavor and damage!

Creepy Elf that lives in the forest and likes bugs, man that character would be Hella fun to play.
