You can also use fishing line behind the badge to separate the adhesive from your car, I just used wax string because it's easier on the fingers and I had it easily accessible.
Just use some Goo-Gone or the Adhesive remover I use in this vid. Spray it on a cloth and then wipe it on the adhesive and let it sit for like a minute then it usually wipes/peels off pretty easy.
Unfortunately not, I tried to tint my own tail lights but I wasn’t very good at it so I ended up going to a shop and having it done by professionals. It was about $180
What do you call after market badges like that? Is it only Kia that has badges that are unique that companies make or are there companies that make ford ones too, I understand the concept of the badges and removing factory badges to put a new one that makes oriole wonder what it is, want ford ones
Yeah there are a lot of after market badge makers out there. Try searching on eBay or Amazon they usually have a few. You could probably also find some on Instagram or Etsy. I know I’ve seen custom carbon fiber Ford badges before.
@@KDMCurt Hey, I have ready badges with tapes on them, but how can I figure the exact measurements of the factory? I need to get badge/stick them back with exact location /measurements of the factory. They are 2 Impala badges in the back c pillars locating right and left of the car back pillars(2017 Chevy Impala) . Is there any other way than getting the factory templates? Because I've tried to buy them, but to no avail =_= .
Yes most definitely, just make sure you find replacements for the forte and not for the Optima I believe the indentions where your badges are now are smaller than the Optimas so these specific ones wouldn’t fit in there but they should make some that are small enough.

Just installed mine today! Installing these on a 90+ degree day sure made the process super easy!
Nice tutorial! That 91% isopropyl alcohol is liquid gold during this pandemic XD
lol I know! I’m trying not to use much this is my last bottle!
Thank you very helpful and Looks pretty easy but I’m curious how you got the excess adhesive off before placing the new emblem?

Dope video. I have a 2020 optima do you know where I can get those K BADGES from ?
I think the one I linked in the description will fit 2020’s as well but if not I’m sure there are plenty more on Amazon you can find.
KDM_Curt thanks 👍🏽
I love your voice, you sound like a California surfer from 1992
Haha thanks!!
I had the same red ones on my '16 sx, same thing, they have completely faded to a ugly grey/white. Will definitely re-badging mine soon
Ashlee Mackay the all Black seems to be doing good so far. I haven’t noticed any fading yet.
I had white ones with the gold K on my '13 lx and the gold came off lol. Not sure what will be next for my '16.
Is it the same process if I’m trying to remove the original Kia badge?
Yes
do you have a video about tinting/spraying black your tail lights? btw nice video!
Unfortunately not, I tried to tint my own tail lights but I wasn’t very good at it so I ended up going to a shop and having it done by professionals. It was about $180

i have a 2014 kia forte... do you think it’s still possible for me to change my badges?

What are those things in front. What happened to your grill
Those are horns I installed. I took the grill out so you can see them better.
how i change the weel' badge?
Not sure on that one, I haven’t had stock wheels for some time. Most of them have a center cap the pops out though.
Just ordered mine.
Where’d u get em?
These badges came from Amazon, but my newest badges came from Brenthon.
Looks great!
Are your badges still sticking?
Yup, still holding strong!
