It's crazy having been alive when the most advanced weapon we had was a missile attached to a wire. Now we have missiles that can guide themselves through the window of a house and hit a single target leaving everything else untouched.

There's something about the Mi-24 Hind that i find appealing. A large platform capable of fulfilling various jobs & missions but also having the speed & firepower to keep opposing choppers honest, is truly impressive.

Easily one of the most revolutionary helicopter designs ever. Even today 50 years later there's nothing like it in any Western arsenal - the fusion of transport capability & ferocious air to ground firepower is spectacular to behold.

i agree that the West has nothing like it in its fleet today. What's funny is that the Russians found the inspiration to come up with the Mi-24 concept from the West itself, the Americans to be specific. They observed the Huey from afar as it performed its numerous roles in the Vietnam War. The Hind is basically a Huey on steroids 😂

I'd like to get my hands on a ka-52. Take it down to city hall. Much more effective than a bulldozer etc.

The Apache looks more like a dragonfly to me lol . Although calling it one of my natives name not my tribe but one of my native relatives . I always wondered why they call these killer machines by native names . Tomahawks Apaches whatever else they got out there lol

US Marines should adopt the AH-64E Apache Longbow (Block 33) multi role attack helo for naval carrier borne use & retire the aging AH-1 Sea Cobra maritime attack helos!!! infact the navalized carrier borne variant AH-64N Sea Apache multi role attack helo has been widely adopted by both the Royal Marines & Royal Navy!!! really curious about one thing, don't understand positioning the pilot of an AH-64E Apache Longbow (Block 20+) multi role attack helo behind the navigator/WSO in the tandem configuration!!! if the pilot is seated behind the navigator it'll block his forward view inspite of the pilot seated behind & somewhat above the navigator!!! what's the rationale behind such a design configuration???

USMC already had updated attack helicopter in AH-1Z Viper. They are as good as the Apache, carried the same weapons of Hellfires and Flechette rockets as the Apaches and are navalised for shipboard operations.
The Sea Cobras were retired long ago and were replaced with AH-1W Super Cobra, the variant prior to AH-1Z.
The Royal Marines and Royal Navy do not operate the Apache. British Army embarked their AH-1 Apaches on HMS Ocean previously in operations against Gaddafi. They will be deployed on the 2 new QE class aircraft carriers. British Apaches are partially navalised, used more powerful Rolls Royce engines and have foldable rotors, therefore they are not the same as US Apaches.
The front seater is not a WSO, but rather Copilot/Gunner. Sitting in the front cockpit gives him a better overview and visibility the battle space as you can’t rely on sensors and optics 100%. They do fail whether due to enemy fires or simply Murphy’s Law.

America made a mistake not building the AH-56 Cheyenne, hard to believe politics were allowed to keep such an amazing weapon from soldiers.

Thank you USA. Australia has recently purchased some Apache's from your military.

All they had to do was go to Afghanistan. Could have gotten all the Apaches they wanted and more for free.

The Apache attacked helicopter is a bad mother on the battlefield you wouldn't want to be in a tank when an Apache is around get the hell out that tank or be destroyed

When war hits everyone on the there heads my only weapon will be the will of god not my own . I trust he will tell me what to do where to go and if I need to be the one to go out find others to follow me I will . I will not go on my own to look foolish or silly lol . Sound like I lost my mind somewhere lol . Although if I end up looking like that so be . The second coming of christ will come for everyone to see . As he looks upon us I'll be there with my hands up prasing him calling for my true father . Thee ruler of life and all that has a heart beat he made with his own image . My weapon will be the faith in god I know who is alive . I see his Americal everywhere everything that is around us is made by him .
