- Bad English was an Anglo-American hard rock/glam metal supergroup formed in 1987. It reunited Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain with singer John Waite and bassist Ricky Phillips, his former bandmates in The Babys, along with Journey guitarist Neal Schon and drummer Deen Castronovo.
"Hey, I have an idea," says the promoter. "Let's have a benefit concert outside in mid April at the Concord Pavilion. Weather will be warm and comfortable right?" Well, during the day it was comfortable, but as soon as that sun went down and the wind kicked up toward mid set, people started to leave. So having no other bodies around to deflect the wind. We got the full brunt of the chill! If you have not been to a show there when it's windy. Temperature drops 20 degrees easy. Ya know, WIND CHILL. Especially on an empty lawn that holds 4,000. After viewing this again, you'll notice towards 2nd half of the set lots of talking going on. My hands were frozen on that camcorder and I was getting super agitated.

OMG, John Waiste's live vocals are just insane. No autotune, no studio gimmick. Just pure talent.
John Waite is a wonderful singer who's really underrated, unfortunately he didn't get the recognition that he really deserves for his valuable contribution to rock music since the 70s. God bless John Waite for his beautiful voice and music ❤💐🌺⚘️💯

Waite is a hell of a singer!! very solid! great musicians but their egos led to the end of a very interesting project, BOTH albums were good, thay had hits, i still don't know what they were looking for
3 songs are from the album Backlash. I read that they didn't tour for that album but I'm glad they did. Thanks for the upload it's a great concert. 😊

Went to see them in Allentown or Bethlehem couldn’t find the fuckn venue n we ended up in Philly n saw some stupid ass bands but would’ve leave to see Jonathan n john n Neal n deen on the kit
Drum solo and guitar solos were included because both dudes DEMANDED them. John got sick of their act and to;d them to go back to Journey. He didnt need them or want them anymore.
If it wasn’t for Waite, these guys wouldn’t have been Bad.
