- Let's start the new week with some Squad Ops gameplay! This time around I'll be spectating as It's been a while since I did. The US objective is to find and destroy the INS jammer placed in the nearby village. US forces also have the ability to deploy a motorized or mechanized infantry platoon. The motorized platoon comes with supply trucks capable of deploying mortars while the mechanized platoon supplies the platoon with two armoured Styrker APCs.

everytime theres a firefight diplex zooms out then moves half way across the map, then we miss all the action :( killin me smalls!

Hey diplex, I noticed that you haven't done anything related to WW2 china so I have a really good idea for one. ( I don't have robs realism mod or the game so I can't make maps ) here's a scenario: the Chinese have been pushed out their capital Nanking but have made a new capital Chongking. The Japanese pushed back the Chinese forces all the way back to Tibet and the western provinces. Now the Japanese are preparing for a assault on the Chongking. They have bombed the city for days but were unable to take out the defenders so now Japanese commanders have decided to attack the city thinking the Chinese would be too weak to hold back. But recently the Chinese had just had 1 company to reinforce the 2 company garrison as well as some anti tank guns, donated by the British. But the Japanese 5 company's attacking as well as some Japanese older tanks ( like the Che hai or something like that ). If the Chinese lose this battle, china will most definitely lose most of her fighting ability and capitulate. Maybe it can be a 2 parter but you should try!
I like watching these but your camera work is like you have ADHD. You went to focus on this two man unit trapped in a building and missed the entire shoot out between them and the INS. Please try to focus on a particular situation and stay with it.

What do you mean by "videos"? and he makes airsoft videos, so there is going to be lots of movement, and thousands of people will agree with me when they say that some of the camera work in his videos are amazing.

Imagine those graphics, those physics, that kind of scenario on an RTS game for us to enjoy watching battles like that. Great content by the way

Glad to see the flying spectator name tags are hidden now. Just need to be able to hide them on the map as well.
Some spectators might occasionally find it useful to see where another spectator is looking but most of the time it is simply distracting.

If this game had BATTLEFIELD style destruction... Oh God help me, I'd want to play this game 24/7... It'd be the most PERFECT modern combat military sim game of all time for me. I hope there's a SQUAD 2 one day with beast asf graphics that require like a GTX1380 and it fulfills this dream.

those are called Jakels, they are a modded out version of a short M-RAP. Special forces decided they didn't like the M-RAP too much so they changed it. Now its a thing.
They're conventional Army M-ATVs.

Diplex, might I recommend you try mission making in Arma? You can use almost any units, weapons, and locations you can think of, get the AI to do exactly what you want (eventually), and it has a robust spectator mode that can be accessed from the pause menu at any time
The vehicle is called a M-ATV. M stands for MRAP (Mine Resistance Ambushed Protected) and the ATV is all terrain vehicle.

AR = Armalite, the division of Fairchild Aircraft where Eugene Stoner worked when he was developing the AR10 and AR-15.
AR in AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle. It's the company Eugene Stoner was with when he designed the rifle.

MRAP All Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV) normally soldiers call them MAT V. It distinguishes them from the normal MRAPs as they are not as heavily armored, carry less soldiers, but can handle more types of terrain.

We don't normally say AR for automatic rifle. He's a machine gunner. And the AR in AR15 stands for ArmaLite Rifle. But in the military those are called M4

You should also bring up to the developers that there are Mortar variant Strykers, there are also MGS Strykers that have a 105mm tank gun on top. Also those MRAPS are called MATVs and the logi? trucks are Duece and a halfs, 2.5 ton, or lmtv

That long shot starting at 15:09, that was cool. Did the sound really follow the explosion at 15:15? I guess I shouldn't be surprised if they implement that feature. The sound is already spot on.

Those vics are not MRAPs. They are MATVs. MRAPs are elongated and fully enclosed. MATVs are the IED resistent replacement for the hummer.

For future reference, those US vics with the .50 cals are not MRAPS, they are MAT-V's
Technically still an MRAP. Both the Maxxpro's and the MAT-V's are both colloquially known an MRAPs.
I prefer when you spectate just cuz I'm used to you commentating instead of you committing to playing.

If the dead guys go spectating, what prevents them from telling the alive guys info about the enemy team on Teamspeak for example? Or is it supposed to be counting on honest word, lol?

Love your squad vids Diplex, I check every day for them, But the map is annoying when it takes up half the screen, is there any way you can have it in the corner? (My fav part is when you accidentally listen in on a private convo in proximity chat between a couple squad mates lol)

Mechanised infantry and armoured infantry and how to tell the difference. Easy way think of a german half track with heavy armour would be armoured infantry and mechanised would be non armoured vehicle like a truck.

Okay you have officially sold me on this game. I'm so getting it. I love tactical play and get so little chance to play it. So im totally in. I was thinking of going for Arma 3. But I keep hearing lots of BS to deal with.
