I love Chris Cuomo! However, am I the only one that sees he did not give Ye the opportunity to express himself? One man should not try to correct the thinking of another grown man. Ye's views are his views and he does not need someone to correct them. Chris made it seem as if he was giving him a platform, but in reality, he spent the entire interview interrupting him and telling him how wrong he was - and without allowing the viewers to get a full understanding of the points Ye was trying to make. I would like to have seen him allow Ye to express himself fully, regardless of how Chris felt about it. True journalism to me is having the ability to remain neutral so that the viewers can get a full understanding of those being interviewed. Instead, I just watched a video of Chris Cuomo telling Ye what to think, what to feel, and how to behave. Chris, please take your feelings out of your journalism. It is not about you, but about the viewers being able to understand the views of those you are interviewing.

I’m not a Ye “fan” but Chris was wrong here in how he handled this. He shares a lot of judgment. I would prefer him to be a journalist only and not a therapist. Kanye is allowed to have his opinions on everything including Palestine and Israel.
This guy is kind of proving ye's point in my opinion, no counter arguments from the interviewer just accusatory words to silence him and trying to depict him as manic. Kanyes points come from questionable angles but his points arent even being refuted.
Observe the tone of how he is spoken to as if he’s a child and not a grown man. This reflects the power gradient the media asserts over the masses, specifically black people. Maybe the news anchors/whoever is talking to Ye could stop using words like "you can't/you should", etc. That's like they are giving orders as to what another human should or "is allowed" to do. That can be quite triggering.

I loved that you called him out. So many people have interviewed him in the past and allowed him to say disturbing things and instead of challenging him, they have allowed him to go on because they are either afraid of him walking out or ending the interview or they just want to spread lies and dissent themselves. Ye kept cutting off Chris, going in circles with this thoughts and saying he isn't anti-semitic, while continuing to isolate the Jewish community as the problem. He sounded incoherent and just wanted recognition that he was a billionaire, a visionary and someone who should be put on a pedestal. This interview was not conversational and Ye seemed to want to spew his rhetoric with no regard for what it sounds like or that, perhaps, his words present someone who is anti-semitic. After the Drink Champs interview, EVERYONE has understood Ye better - and in this interview - you KEEP PROVING HIM RIGHT. You really need to stop the "Ye is crazy" narrative. He's not always very good at articulating himself and his ideas, but all of us can falter as such. Most geniuses can't convey their thoughts to "common folk" because they also have "common programming." That's exactly his point and you are just proving all his points from the Drink Champs interview. White culture owns the Republican party, the Supreme Court, Wall Street, generational wealth, and the justice and policing systems. Jewish culture owns the Democratic party, media outlets, and the entertainment industry. Yes, these are generalizations, but ones that have statistical validity. His issue is that the Black culture is doing all the work in the latter, while being abused by the former, and the problem lies in lack of ownership. He wants the Black culture to have ownership, and in order to establish that, there needs to be disruption in the Black vote that puts people in power - the Black vote has been taken for granted by the latter and lacks power. Hence, he wants to break those molds as he sees the status quo as modern day slavery. This desire is not inherently racist, and Ye is not a racist. I can understand how comments can come across as racist, but his heart is not of a racist. Cuomo is speaking as a privileged media person who has benefited from the oppression, and doesn't care about the Black culture legacy. That's the difference - Ye does. Cuomo only acted in self interest in hiding his brother's sexual scandal as NY governor and got cancelled by CNN, and now he's here. Cuomo, you are a part of the problem.

Disappointed in the interview and how Chris Cuomo handled. So dismissmal of an issue that's affecting the black community. You don't have to agree with everything he said but show respect. I was pulling for Cuomo to be successful in his new show. Not sure if I'll continue watching.
Chris I lived with family members having Bi Polar disorder, my mother, sister & baby bother. We were a family of 7. It is crippling to them, however it is also hard / dramatic on people who love them. It can cause the healthy people to become unwell. My mother refused treatment. She would come up with these conspiracies & confabulations that as a child would scare me to the core of my little sole. My father was the rock of the family, I was blessed by having extended family that tried to help. My father made sure we visited a therapist regularly, it helped me as a child understand the depth & breath of what the disease is and what was going on. It helped me understand why people feared our family and why I had no friends as a child. I am the women I am today because of the love and proactivness of my father & his family. This form of mental illness if untreated can metastasis overtime. Today the treatments are much better. I am sad to say that my mother and 2 siblings are no longer here. When I see this kind of behavior it breaks my heart into pieces. This a snippet of what is happening. No one sees when they can't get out of bed for days or weeks, hygiene health goes down. Days of ranting endlessly all hours of the night & day. When they are up, they can accomplish great things. This is a devastating disease if untreated on everyone. My family is proof. If they refuse help, there is nothing we can do except cry & I did plenty of that. The worst part for me was knowing they were great people , smarter than me even on my best day. My pain is nothing compared to what my mother, sister & baby brother went through. Ye has a huge platform to get into the heads of other people struggling with mental health issues. 1 in 3 people struggle with some form of mental health issues. My father was 84 when he past away, he died 12:03 Nov 1st, if your Catholic you know what day the is. My mother died at age 63, my father never gave up on her. You never give up on those you love . Always support them, but be mindful to take care of yourself in the journey of mental health. Love to all who are struggling. 💔💔

Some of what he was saying was true but he does not have the control and sensibility to make his points effectively. my mental health has actually been spiralling down just out of fear of the possible impact of Ye's words... I'm Tunisian-Jewish, and I live in France. In 2012 in Toulouse, in the South of France where I grew up, a young guy who had been brainwashed into this kind of antisemitic conspiracy theories went out with guns to a Jewish school and he started shooting. He killed a 30 year old teacher and two little boys, aged 3 and 6 years old. And then he killed a little 8 year old girl. I'm really scared... In 2015, another antisemitic shooting happened near Paris - that one took place a 15 minutes walk from where my parents and my little sister live. A guy entered a Kosher supermarket and killed 4 people. One of them was Jewish Tunisian like me and my family... I'm really scared... I wish Ye would stop... I wish someone would tell him what he's doing... I wish someone would show him pictures of these children who were shot... I wish he could hear how terrified I am that some impressionable and confused young person will hear his words and interpret them as an encouragement to go and kill more people.

Ye kept cutting off Chris, going in circles with this thoughts and saying he isn't anti-semitic, while continuing to isolate the Jewish community as the problem. He sounded incoherent and just wanted recognition that he was a billionaire, a visionary and someone who should be put on a pedestal. This interview was not conversational and Ye seemed to want to spew his rhetoric with no regard for what it sounds like or that, perhaps, his words present someone who is anti-semitic. He sounded like someone who is mentally struggling. He was too defensive. You don't go on a news show and not think you might be asked a few hard questions. It was sad to watch. It made me feel bad for him.

After the Drink Champs interview, EVERYONE has understood Ye better - and in this interview - you KEEP PROVING HIM RIGHT. You really need to stop the "Ye is crazy" narrative. He's not always very good at articulating himself and his ideas, but all of us can falter as such. Most geniuses can't convey their thoughts to "common folk" because they also have "common programming." That's exactly his point and you are just proving all his points from the Drink Champs interview. White culture owns the Republican party, the Supreme Court, Wall Street, generational wealth, and the justice and policing systems. Jewish culture owns the Democratic party, media outlets, and the entertainment industry. Yes, these are generalizations, but ones that have statistical validity. His issue is that the Black culture is doing all the work in the latter, while being abused by the former, and the problem lies in lack of ownership. He wants the Black culture to have ownership, and in order to establish that, there needs to be disruption in the Black vote that puts people in power - the Black vote has been taken for granted by the latter and lacks power. Hence, he wants to break those molds as he sees the status quo as modern day slavery. This desire is not inherently racist, and Ye is not a racist. I can understand how comments can come across as racist, but his heart is not of a racist. Cuomo is speaking as a privileged media person who has benefited from the oppression, and doesn't care about the Black culture legacy. That's the difference - Ye does. Cuomo only acted in self interest in hiding his brother's sexual scandal as NY governor and got cancelled by CNN, and now he's here. Cuomo, you are a part of the problem.
He lost all credibility the moment he opened his mouth to say that black people can't be anti-Semitic because they themselves are Jews/Israelites. Chris I lived with family members having Bi Polar disorder, my mother, sister & baby bother. We were a family of 7. It is crippling to them, however it is also hard / dramatic on people who love them. It can cause the healthy people to become unwell.
My mother refused treatment. She would come up with these conspiracies & confabulations that as a child would scare me to the core of my little sole. My father was the rock of the family, I was blessed by having extended family that tried to help. My father made sure we visited a therapist regularly, it helped me as a child understand the depth & breath of what the disease is and what was going on. It helped me understand why people feared our family and why I had no friends as a child. I am the women I am today because of the love and proactivness of my father & his family. This form of mental illness if untreated can metastasis overtime. Today the treatments are much better.
I am sad to say that my mother and 2 siblings are no longer here.
When I see this kind of behavior it breaks my heart into pieces. This a snippet of what is happening. No one sees when they can't get out of bed for days or weeks, hygiene health goes down. Days of ranting endlessly all hours of the night & day. When they are up, they can accomplish great things. This is a devastating disease if untreated on everyone. My family is proof. If they refuse help, there is nothing we can do except cry & I did plenty of that. The worst part for me was knowing they were great people , smarter than me even on my best day. My pain is nothing compared to what my mother, sister & baby brother went through. Ye has a huge platform to get into the heads of other people struggling with mental health issues. 1 in 3 people struggle with some form of mental health issues. My father was 84 when he past away, he died 12:03 Nov 1st, if your Catholic you know what day the is. My mother died at age 63, my father never gave up on her. You never give up on those you love . Always support them, but be mindful to take care of yourself in the journey of mental health. Love to all who are struggling. 💔💔

Some of what he was saying was true but he does not have the control and sensibility to make his points effectively. my mental health has actually been spiralling down just out of fear of the possible impact of Ye's words... I'm Tunisian-Jewish, and I live in France. In 2012 in Toulouse, in the South of France where I grew up, a young guy who had been brainwashed into this kind of antisemitic conspiracy theories went out with guns to a Jewish school and he started shooting. He killed a 30 year old teacher and two little boys, aged 3 and 6 years old. And then he killed a little 8 year old girl. I'm really scared... In 2015, another antisemitic shooting happened near Paris - that one took place a 15 minutes walk from where my parents and my little sister live. A guy entered a Kosher supermarket and killed 4 people. One of them was Jewish Tunisian like me and my family... I'm really scared... I wish Ye would stop... I wish someone would tell him what he's doing... I wish someone would show him pictures of these children who were shot... I wish he could hear how terrified I am that some impressionable and confused young person will hear his words and interpret them as an encouragement to go and kill more people.
Your absolutely correct and I know because I feel the same way everyday afraid to drive because if I'm stopped it could mean my life is on the line.... Navigating through neighborhoods where I could be killed by someone who even looks like me and why ?? Because of force to survive.. to take.. only because they can't obtain properly due to circumstances that have imprisoned a future of a life yet to come into existence... Myself as well as many others... Though life a punishment since a very young age and try hardest to overcome..... I see Jewish communities that are gorgeous and are only with the Jewish, then I see all white communities that are gorgeous.....
