After watching this video I purchase this exact exhaust system for my S3 and it doesn’t fit to the stock mid pipe. The pipping is too wide and the stock exhaust just sits inside and doesn’t clamp down.
Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
@@mike9474 yeah so basically the mid pipe had a defect and had to get a new one made and sent out to me!

Hi, maybe you can help me. I had a CTS catted DP installed yesterday on my 8V S3, and stage 2 ecu/tcu software from Unitronic. Power is great! Prior I was running a piggyback, but it’s like night and day. Issue I have is I still have the Audi factory resonator delete. Before as a stock car and even with the piggyback, exhaust sounded amazing. Now with the bigger downpipe exhaust sounds really raspy and ricey. Dare I say - it’s like I’m driving a Civic with an eBay turbo kit lol. Even if I get on the pedal a little it’s raspy, WOT is super ricey. No drone in the cabin, as I coded out my Soundaktor, but it just sounds raspy coming out the back.
Will this catback help to eliminate the raspy/ricey-ness? Other option is I reinstall the stock res! Tyia for the help. Cheers.

Hi, any chance I can get the product in Sydney, Australia? The exhaust tips look great with carbon surround but keeping the tips in chrome rather than just black so nobody can see.

This exhaust sounds authentic. I am thinking of combining it with an HJS homologated downpipe because of EU restrictions. However would this exhaust fit to an S3 8V sedan pre-facelift?
I had this exhaust on my 2015 s3 and it sounded super aggressive but noticeably quieter in the inside. However with the CTS downpipe I also inherited a slight drone.
would 3" dp fit with this exhaust?

No. There are dummy plugs that they give you

Not trying to be rude but, I am not that impressed. Truth be told this platform and engine is incredibly hard to make it sound good. I am happy you guys went the "low-rubble/growl" than the usual fart can sound.
The idea of using a helmholtz resonator is smart but, not revolutionary. Exhaust work looks really good though.
Just my thoughts.
Nice unproductive feedback. EA888 can sound good but it also loves to drone so finding something that can give you the right volume without drone is really hard. Not to mention the downpipe muffles the majority of the sound and this means you either need to go with an almost straight through exhaust or invest a significant amount of money to go to stage 2 (or play it fast and loose and try to just get away with a DP).

I gave credit where due and criticism where due like most commenters here have done.
The only real decent exhaust I have seen is from akrapovic and another dude with a tuned a4 who used resonators from a run of the mill auto parts store lol.
When I go stage 2 I plan on making/designing a custom resonator. It may barely do anything but, anything is better than nothing. I only have a res delete and you are right it drones right at 3k RPM which can get annoying on the highway but, it is not THAT noticeable in my opinion.
Either way EA888 does not get credit as a good engine and the MQB does not get credit for being a great platform. Most guys outside of Audi and VW (including Porsche LOL) make fun of these engines. Despite the fact tune for tune they destroy everything on the market that is equivalent to it and can produce said power reliably on STOCK motor.
So no. I am not hating. I love this platform and it is shame people love Civics, Evos, etc... when a 2.0t can make more power on STOCK motor and STOCK Turbo. But for some reason the EA888 is not "iconic enough."
I have one and it sounds much better than this video the sound overall is very good
