The air force officer that helped develop and was over the Tempest AF security program was my undergraduate department chair and program advisor. It was an interesting BS degree program but was a bit too advanced for most would-be employers. Ended up working briefly as a KMart Loss Prevention manager. What a freaking joke that was.
I was certified TEMPEST Technician back in 1984 at Lackland. Interesting field.

I’m guessing you googled TEMPEST to get the acronym. Check CNSS glossary for the actual meaning. I’ll give you a hint, it’s not an acronym.
