- Join me on a drive from Gosford in the Central Coast of NSW, a satellite region to the north of Sydney, to the Sydney CBD! We'll be taking the M1 Pacific Motorway then the A1 Pacific Highway, passing through the Hawkesbury River, Berowra, Gordon and Chatswood, before finally crossing Sydney Harbour on the iconic Harbour Bridge.
Loved this clip. Thanks mate. So many memories.
Stunning video and music !
I enjoyed this. Many thanks. Keep 'em coming.
Australia 🇦🇺
Very beautiful very incredible video my dear friend🌹💐 big like! Greetings💕💕💐
Been waiting for this video!
All through the video I only saw one Bus..no wonder we have congestion. And we still cannot decide what to call our highways..freeways?, Motorways? Highways? Personally, I prefer to call them AusWays to reflect their unique Ausie style.
Very good drive this one, I've been up to Newcastle only once or a couple times when I was about 7 or 8 in 2008/2009. Nice to see the road is widened to 3 lanes, and the Harbour Bridge lanes have been narrowed 😆 I currently live overseas in Europe and I'm hoping to come back down to Straya for a holiday next year 🙏🇦🇺
Nice video and great music!
As an off roader, I would like to see some unpaved trips too. 😁
Nice video. I love how green and hilly the drives in NSW are. Makes it quite interesting compared to Perth's straight and flat environment.
love your videos! just sit down watching you on my tv chilling seeing places that i may not ever get to go. Have you ever thought of like doing adelaide or perth or south west vic? like the great ocean road from warrnambool to torquay? Thanks
Thanks mate! Yep I definitely want to tour Australia one state at a time, when I find the time. I'll have some footage of the Great Ocean Road uploaded soon, from my Victoria trip end of last year 😁
@@GreatAussieDrives Victoria was a nice place to visit! You should a view of the Sydney Opera House while you go there in this video.
Please consider turning on your viofo dashcam's GPS speed on so that we can see what speed you are driving at
Amazing vid, I really love driving on the Pacific Hwy(Gosford-Doyalson) whenever I visit the central coast as opposed to the A49, cuz personally I think its a better, surprisingly more scenic alternative route through the central coast than the A49. There's a pretty scenic section of the pacific Hwy between Ourimbah and Tuggerah where it winds through the surrounding lush green forest environment, really love that part. Although, last time I drove the highway, there was a long contraflow set up due to a car crash on the southbound lane between Ourimbah and North Gosford which was completely jammed that required traffic to squeeze in to drive on the other lane for the next few kms which was not easy to drive through considering how much traffic was on the road that day.
But anyway, really enjoyed the vid and I recommend you showcase the drive on that route next time youre in the central coast instead of the A49 😉
Thanks for the comment!
Great video once again! Just wondering do you live/work near the CBD or do you drive to the CBD specifically to start/end off each video?
Thanks mate, I generally try to start/end my videos at points of interest, be it the CBD, town centres etc.
Concidentially I do work in the CBD but I always just commute by train! 😅
@@GreatAussieDrives I see, because I just start my videos where I live ahaha... maybe I should start doing that as well! Driving and parking at the CBD is a nightmare though.
Mate so true, parking in the CBD is a disaster I usually just drive off after ending a video there hahaha
could u do a video of liverpool-newtown (via the A34)
Nice video I was kind of late lol when can you do qld driving videos?
I've been thinking of a potential Queensland trip next year, so hopefully soon! Right now I've only got the videos around Greater Brisbane
Can you do Melbourne to Traralgon or geelong to Melbourne
Nice drive. We knew the road up the hill from West Gosford as “bellbird hill” (one of many). Wonder if the bellbirds have gone or just been drowned out by the traffic?
Theres a back road that winds from gosford to somersby(debenham rd) ive used daily for the last 25 years where you can always hear the bellbirds
Thanks mate! That's interesting, 'Kariong Hill' was its name when I researched it for this video but it may have had several other nicknames I don't know about!
@@GreatAussieDrives yep still called that
@@GreatAussieDrives Does your channel have classic rock? AC/DC formed in Sydney. It's just a hard rock and roll band since RUclips allows this band to be heard in the videos.
Yeah AC/DC is definitely one of the greatest Aussie bands of all time.
7:49 - it's a shame that there are few road projects like these that are built nowadays. In fact, the Toowoomba Bypass in QLD is probably the only comparable road project that was built in recent times (let's hope the Upper Blue Mtns tunnel also gets built). Great video otherwise!
Thanks mate! There's also the recent significant upgrades of Pacific Highway to Motorway up the NSW North Coast but the topography is way less challenging. You're right in terms of geography like this probably only the Toowoomba Bypass in recent times
@@GreatAussieDrives Oh yes, can't forget the St Helena Tunnel :-).
What kind of car do you drive
This video was filmed in a 2021 Chrysler 300 SRT
Why did you update your UI
Just thought I'd make the visuals and text a bit easier to read 🙂
Great drive! What do you think of the narration of the 4 longest elevated expressways in Southeast Asia? Here's the video:
ruclips.net/video/1CeffctMsxM/видео.html
Thanks, we don't really have elevated expressways in Australia due to how sprawling the cities are so that was fun to watch. Only ones I can think of right now here are the Cahill Expressway in Sydney and Riverside Expressway in Brissy, both of which are super short.
@@GreatAussieDrives Technically the M7 is also an elevated expressway for parts of its length.
@@GreatAussieDrives AC/DC from 3:53 to 9:10
