Uhm, yeah, no that’s not how it works. The environment is a huge factor in dry farming, specific only to those mesas, which during the monsoon season naturally flood and help let these plants breath into the ground. There are also a lot of trade secrets, so this is just surface level of what he is saying. please don’t straight up steal ideas.

These corn are our children, in western society, farms are ran by economy, genetics and agricultural output. For us Agriculture is not that controlled, we have times of famine if we disobey the natural order of things it directly related to our socioeconomic reality, myths, science, land areas, myths in the land. The white, blue, red and purple corns are our children. certain gods represent species grown only there. no where else.

I love how the southwest tribes figured out types of planting and farming. Each tribe has their own culture, stories, and seeds about corn and other crops. However, as tribes fight and struggle to preserve this knowledge. Others come onto the reservations to take the ideas and form their educational claims about and use the Discovery Rights on this information taking it and saying they discovered it and we own it.

smart farming.. Nothing beats native American farming. up until the market garden no dig permaculture cats no one was consistently yielding as much as the natives did. In almost any area they were at they were out yielding places that got more rain or slightly different conditions. AZtech farming being the one with the highest production .. [the 1990s] recently. aquaponics started to get those crazy Mayan and Aztech yields.
