The fourth iteration was my favorite! It could really use fine tuning but I adores the layout :D
The 06 one looks like it could ducking be sonic adventure remastered holy sh--.
Part of me just wants SEGA/Sonic Team to release any bad Sonic games onto PC to let the modders have a shot at it.
Maybe they can add an extra layer of polish to make the modders lives a little easier, but afterwards...

@@astralmaster id say Shadow was pretty decent in terms of gameplay but awful in characterisation. I’d rather take it than Forces but that’s just my opinion:)

Windy valley is still best played with the Adventure 1's controls. The other sonic game's would probably be better too if they had the same controls as A1
That fan game version was atrocious, but people will say "Better than what Sega makes."

Was anybody around when SADX was rare to find with the correct music files and every song that played was just the windy valley act 1 song?
Bruh what? I'm actually curious, this was a thing? You mean before it was released om steam or whatever and you had to pirate it...or what?
Con -0- Tron yeah, back in the early days (2007-2011 Modding) people put a pirated version of SADX up because Sega kept taking down official versions. The only solution was to make every song file windy valley act 1 so people could download it.
If only the Modern Sonic levels in Sonic Generations looked and played more Adventure-ish!😄🤩😎👌

It wasn't until I saw a non-shitty level design that I could appreciate the way Sonic's homing attack arcs in lost world. Nice touch

It shows how it could have been if the actually treated it like an Adventure game (At the end of the day it's Adventure 3)
The only thing it needs is more speed
Lost World wasn't made for that and it feels wrong.
It's like putting Sonic Forces in Super Mario Sunshine stage.
It just simply not it's level design

I like the Sonic World version... I just don't like how the music doesn't change to the superior track :/ AKA the track that was originally in Sonic 3D Blast.
Literally missing the best version of Windy Valley, the SA1 AutoDemo version that was completely thrown out for some ungodly reason.

While Sonic 06 sucked major balls, but seeing WIndy Valley in 06 style is a vast improvement over the original. Take the tornado for example this one doesn't suck you in as soon as you get close enough. Hope Sega and Sonic Team is watching this to take some notes for the supposed Adventure remake.

Don't like the 06 Physics on Windy Valley. I feel like that's because this is a stage that has a heavy emphasis on speed, 06 tried to really emulate realistic gameplay at the time while still holding Sonic's speed.
In Lost World, why on Earth is Sonic standing on air?!
