I was just doing some CARS practice on JW and my head felt like it was melting so I decided to take a break and go on YT. This was the last thing I was expecting on my feed haha
You cracked me up with your descriptions..also I always utilize highlighting if I am able to recognize the main idea of a paragraph- it often helps with certain questions
This is the part of the MCAT I keep putting off and avoiding. There's some sense of security in the sciences because its usually more clear cut. The CARS is scary because most of the questions are about what some authors opinion and what he would most likely believe about x or something. Ahhhh my brains! A passage a day is what I've been doing, like building my brain muscles.
Thank you for this video!! I tried your strategy and I improved on my CARS passages! I take my MCAT on August 9th, so hopefully it works out on the real test date
I got a 499 on the AAMC practice exam and not having ever taken Orgo or Biochem... 4 days to study, lets hope CARS can give me the boost I need, it was my best subject by far.
CARS is ALWAYS my lowest section on my practice exams and practice questions... and its not even close..... i pray that anything you said in this video helps me and anyone like me who can't read fast and can't find an ounce of motivation to read any of these horribly boring passages!
I'm not sure if you mentioned this in another video but what third party cars resources did you use and what order? Also, what types of questions would you ask yourself to better analyze and improve your strategy
For CARS I stuck to the AAMC question sets and practice tests and the khan academy practice passages. As far as what to focus on when improving your strategy, I would look at the questions you miss and try to figure out why you missed them and why you shouldn't have picked the answer you did. You might notice a pattern of not understanding the passage or getting tricked by one of the planted wrong answers. Then you can prevent yourself from making the same mistakes in the future
One aspect of questions i see is the answer choices will read Blah increases and food Blah decreases and food Blah no change without fod Only blah Which tempts you to read just the words "increase","decrease","no change" and "only" diagnally. What a sick trick.
If you find them helpful then yes, definitely! Khan academy definitely covers the right content, though in science sometimes they repurposed the old videos rather than making new ones specifically for the MCAT so they might have some extra information
Thank you for these wonderful videos😀 Did the Kaplan review material on pyschology and Khan academy videos suffice to do well in the behavioural section? Or should one read pyschology textbooks? Thanks
I thought about going through the textbook guide from AAMC but never had time! I'd say definitely at least read the Khan Academy document or watch the videos, then if you want to supplement that use either the textbooks or a review book

There are two kinds of artists: the unreflective virtuoso, who relies on nature, and the cerebral structurer, who relies on understanding.
That passage stressed me out lol
hahahah this is hilarious
@@emanimatthews2249 that passage was death. I was like “no I’m gonna fail this exam” and then moved on to other passages and was a lot better
haha holly shoot! the first time i did that passage i got 0 right, then the second time weeks later i got 5 right.
I literally just did this essay
If y’all can’t understand what the author is saying in these passages, imagine not being an english native speaker! The struggle is real
Im not a native speaker. I just started learning English 3 years ago. Im scared
@@hanaeelkholti7168 you got this! ❤️
lolol I got a 520 with a 126 cars, English was my 4th language. Screw cars man
@@SunSunSunn please how???
“Philosophers thoughts on...interior design” made me laugh🤣🤣

*Being distracted from previous passages. bruh, I can't even tell you what the last passage was about 30 seconds into the new one
I can’t even tell you what the first paragraph was about as I finish the second paragraph of the same passage
You cracked me up with your descriptions..also I always utilize highlighting if I am able to recognize the main idea of a paragraph- it often helps with certain questions
This was so useful, I absolutely HATE CARS lol. Could you do a video on how to get through the Bio/Biochem and Phys/Chem passages?

Yeah. Some questions I was like my neurons are melting.

no idea why this show up at my recommendation, but i am still watching 😌
What if the whole passage is filled with confusing sentences? Throw the whole passage away?
So good had to watch it twice. Thanks for these great test taking tips 😊
Hey man! What prep book did you use to study for this section? Thanks
Great video! Thank you.
Is UWorld CARS helpful? Or Khan Academy? I’m trying to prioritize what I study and don’t know which one will be better to practice
Absolutely amazing video!
Thanks for your tips.
Is khan academy passages in your opinion representative?
Wow I feel attacked with the boredom one lol. Thanks for the tips :)
Any practise test that you recommend?
Hi Michael, do you recommend going over the concepts on science sections using khan academy?
If you find them helpful then yes, definitely! Khan academy definitely covers the right content, though in science sometimes they repurposed the old videos rather than making new ones specifically for the MCAT so they might have some extra information
Thank you
You are adorable in this video. Especially when you made those hilarious frustrated faces.
I hate cars !!!!!! I can’t understand what the hell any of the authors are saying
Did you use the highlighting tool when reading passages?
I personally didn't, but I know people who did and scored well! If it helps you I say go for it, and you just have to practice to figure that out
These are very great tips
Thank you for these wonderful videos😀

YOU ARE AWSOME I WORK IN A HOSPITAL ALL YOUR VIDEOS ARE VERY INSPIRING !!!!!!!!!!!
Have you considered marrying me?
Hi Mike, I am planning to take MCAT this coming October, do you have any free books that are not being used? thanks
This is a great video
Take your time 👏🏾
thank youuuuuu
Take 10 sec think about nothing. This MCAT tip..umm
Ok think about everything for 10sec. Good luck
Cute :’)
"5-10 seconds to think about nothing"? Only men have a "nothing" box in their minds. That tricky can't work with women!
this guy is so lanky and awkward. I wouldn't be comfortable having this guy as my doctor.
That was comically unnecessary
