At 1:30 you could maybe stick the air if your upper body and arms were rotated toward the beach. It happens on a lot of your frontside turns- you fall because your body runs out of rotation. Maybe Try rotating the arms and upper body toward the beach kinda like the way Curren does a cut back his arms and body are twisting toward where they wanna go and he never hangs up
Thanks for the feedback, I am definitely still learning and trying to do less skateboarding like maneuvers. It’s really good advice though and it’s something I’m definitely working on in the water when I remember to remind myself to stay connected and follow through the turns and lead with my head and then shoulders and so on.

Rad Vid! I used to surf around there back in the 80-'90's. My mom used to surf WSA contests up and down the coast, we had a VW van and mom's boyfriend was a Ripper and it was our life to just surf and camp all day every day, from Trestles, CStreet, Rincon, the Ranch Jalama, and north to Santa Maria Rivermouth,... we rented one side of this duplex a few blocks from the Pismo Pier and my mom and her boyfriend worked in the cool restaurants in town as waiter and waitress. My dad worked as a Port San Luis Harbour district maintenance guy, he lived on a sailboat, then had a little trailer in a trailer park across from the beach in Avila. He operated the dredging barge for the small boat launch and would direct the sand onto a nearby beach to make a little surfable wedge when the swells got huge. Growing up in California with two surfing parents, in the surfing community of Pismo Beach back then was such an incredible childhood! I'm 47 now and living on a little island of Guam in Micronesia. Loren, your videos really capture what I miss about the California surf lifestyle, thanks for posting them!
