Back in the 1980’s there was a pyramid puzzle called Pyramid. I remembered having it shortly after having the Rubix’s Cube. There was another puzzle called Snake,too. The snake was fun to make different shapes out of it.

Gear Pyraminx is fun once you figure out how to turn it properly. It definitely doesn't need 13 turns per corner though.
The gear pyraminx doesn’t need 13 twists. (The corners don’t have to be perfectly aligned) as long as the center has three pieces surrounding one, it can move

You don’t need to have the edges flat to turn the gear Pyraminx, the tips WILL look offset, but you can still turn it (the tips will look half a turn offset)

once learnt, the master pyraminx is pretty much easier than the 2x2 in terms of how much you need to learn, yeah it takes longer but dont need to learn anywhere near as much

I solved a pyraminx without a tutorial just messing around and came up with a way of solving it (though I am quite experienced with Rubik's cubes)
Jing pyraminx IS duomo. It looks weird, but just closely observe the two.

The difficulty will always depend on who's commenting. For example, I kinda like the Master Pyraminx and I consider it very easy, but the Pyramorphix is a bloody fight😂
