What an amazing God we have! What sticks next is how much God likes the beauty of the gold, silver, ornate fabric. Perhaps we protestants have veered too far away from what God wants in our churches. The vestments, the ornate altars of Catholic and Anglican churches may look more like what God desires. Something to ponder on.
Teaches us obedience to God - Solomon did exactly as God commanded. But also once we read the whole of the Bible, we will fully understand the importance of the Temple and the symbols in the Temple, the relevance to the coming of Christ Jesus and our own Christian walk. More importantly, we are to ask for wisdom and understanding from God when reading His word. I hope this helps some way. God bless you.
We are to know the whole counsel of the Lord, not bits and pieces. The whole word from Genesis to Revelation gives us understanding who God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are and of Gods ultimate plan. Blessings to you.

Please pray for the civil unrest which has been taking place in the U.K. Senseless damage to properties, looting and hatred.
How does knowing all this about Solomons temple help in our walk with Christ?
