I actually live in the old Welsh county of Dyfed and I must say they really failed to capture the terrible standard of living and bizarrely out of place rave culture that makes this place special. I think a game about a 16 year old nitrous oxide fiend from Camarthen getting lost in the Cambrian mountains after a 48 hour jungle sesh would be a lot more fantastical and interesting than whatever this is about.
Those are just indie games now, the state of AAA games is so bad that games we would've seen as mediocre or cringe years ago are seen as some of the best nowadays. Only requirement for a good game today is that it works on release and doesn't beg for more money

Dude this sent me on such a nostalgia trip. I completely forgot about this game until now but I played it years ago with my dad. It was one of the first games I ever played
I felt like I was the only one in the world that was excited for this game back in the day. I remember watchung the developer interview for it and anticipated for the launch. Fortunately, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. The banter between them was funny and being able to swap between two was a novelty concept back then.
My headcanon is that this is just a 3rd person shooter set in the Dragon Age universe. The elves basically look the same as they do in the Dragon Age franchise. The dark fantasy vibe fits perfectly too

Hey Oboe, this may sound like a meme but honestly you really should give the game a full playthrough off stream! The story is genuinely one of the best depictions of addiction I've seen in gaming, dealing not only with its affect on the characters but also its affects on people in the past and how the world got to the state it was in in the present. Also you can switch between caddoc and elana at will, and they each have their own playstyle and upgrades, there's a lot to like in the game.
I had it! I used my bionicle to battle each other though so parts would fall off or break. Eventually I ended up combining them (not the ‘official’ combo form) into a big two headed form. Used parts of Makuta to make it too!

I feel it inspired most indie developers to start work through spite. BTW I remember this one game El Shaddai I downloaded a demo for then forgot about. I feel it would be a good fit for Oboe.
Good game. Having and throwing a limited amount of healing potions to your ally was a fun alternative vs being able to carry 9,999 bottles like in most RPGs, and there were side quests and NPCs you could save or abandon. I had fun on multiple play throughs.
