I love both playing a lot, julian lage has an amazing creativity. but the more I hear julians tele stingy sound the less I like it. maybe it's just the audio quality which surely enhance it, but I doubt it.
It's the other way around for me. He sounds liberated from the trappings of trad archtop playing.
@@JohnsDough1918 totally agree, gives him that edge, separates him from the rest of the jazz guitar crowd
