You are not the first to question its position LOL. Basically, to go clamming I anchor bow out by channel. Big boats passing by make big wakes. I find it better to use a bow cleat. Personal preference!!
I did similar with pvc pipe sleeved wood dowell indide use pvct sleeves ir ground tip on down as a point jb eld over it and caps on end of t ends. thank you
Hummm🤔 solid fiberglass, well it’s strong ! But if it gets dropped over board is it going to the bottom , what was your total cost of your project ? Maybe a chunk of pool noodle at the t end to keep it afloat if it goes swimming .
Your correct It sinks like a rock. So far I have not had a problem because I slide it through a stainless D ring that is tied to boats cleat. The T handle does not fit through the D ring
@@DIYeasycrafts I’ve built one out of 3/4” pvc with a point made from a solid bamboo dowel epoxied on the bottom end my fear is it won’t be strong enough, haven’t tried it yet , but for now it’s just an experiment, I found an old surfcast rod someone tossed on the trash I might pull the guides off it and slide it inside and seal it up 🤔
Thank you. I was looking for a way to attach one to my boat without drilling holes.
Glad I could help
It's always a pleasure to watch your craftsmanship. Simple but effective thanks for sharing.
Thanks Miguel, always appreciate the feedback

I'm glad you like it

Great video, looks great 👍
Thanks for the feedback
Great video, but that cleat in the middle of your casting deck? Why lol

@@DIYeasycrafts not to mention it'll make your pole last longer and not splinter

Would this concept work for larger boats? I have a 26 foor tritoon
I dont think so. You would have to get a larger diam pole so they would not bend as much in heavy wind
what kind of boat is that?
