  • The 1930s brought unprecedented innovation in machine-age technology and materials. Industrial designers from the auto industry translated the principles of aerodynamics and streamlining into everyday objects like radios and toasters. It was also a decade when an unequaled variety of watch cases and movements came into being. In lieu of hands to tell time, one such complication, called a jumping mechanism, utilized numerals on a disc viewed through a window. With its striking resemblance to the dashboard gauges and radio dials of the decade, the jump hour watch was indeed "in tune" with the times!
    The Stauer 1930 Dashtronic™ deftly blends the modern functionality of a 21-jewel automatic movement and 3-ATM water resistance with the distinctive, retro look of a jumping display (not an actual jumping complication). True to "Machine Art" aesthetics, the sleek brushed stainless steel case is clear on the back, allowing a peek at the inner workings. The 1 ½" case is complemented with a black alligator-embossed leather band. Fits wrists 7"”8 ½".

    I have three Stauer watches...and love all three. It’s not high end, but well done. Just got two more...a vintage skeleton auto watch and a Morgan silver dollar face watch.

      Thanks for leaving a comment and watching the video... after years of owning and collecting between £100 and £15000 watches sometime defining value over built quality reliability and name tag price becomes so confusing and owing a watch that is so particular and low cost give a prospective on what or who people are actually spending there money on.

    • @josephgibbons1631
      @josephgibbons1631 3 года назад +1

      Well I wouldn't go swimming or scuba diving with it....it will hold up to water immersion but no more than a meter or so. By the way...I have a large wrist. If your wrist is big ... mine is 9". you will need to buy an after market band. I recommend Barton bands.

    How did you like this watch after some wear, I’ve been looking into them and wanted to swap the strap same as you did

    • @Andrewolf79
      @Andrewolf79  6 лет назад +1

      i love it and i usually wear it with a casual look, the design is soft and the proportions are from a watch u would expect to be made in the good old days without being to small! Fits nicely on my 6 1/2 inc wrist and it gets loads of attention especially from those who know me and my passion for watches is straight away a conversation peace. One thing that lets me down and theres no way around it, in low light and complete darkness the watch is useless lol.. beside that i love it!!!

    • @chrisfetters4036
      @chrisfetters4036 6 лет назад +1

      Andrea Bosio how is it for keeping time, I’ve read some pretty bad reviews on stauer watches not doing well on it, the low light is a downfall but my dad was a watch expert and found this watch in a catalog and as an expert still fell in love with the thing, I have all his watches and was thinking of getting this one for myself and as the last watch he had his eyes on

    • @Andrewolf79
      @Andrewolf79  6 лет назад

      chris fetters go for it is a nice stand out watch, but for what u say do not expect high end precision time keeping. Is a day watch for me, looks cool and after wearing it regularly for a week mine came to loose roughly 10s a day. I'm buying a machine to test watch accuracy once I'll have it I'll let you know the exact gain or loss and see if it can be corrected.

    • @TheAechBomb
