btw 103db is not a maximum volume. god knows how they do their measurements but its not a peak its a max and we dont know what they measured or how. i would expect a real world peak of near 110db c weighted if its a bb3 class speaker. at 1 meter that is Soundcore don't even quote the distance they clearly are a bit clueless.
maybe its 103 db(A)? btw all we know is that its 2 db less then jbl boombox3 with default tune and we both know soundcore comes to life with adjustments looking forward for your review alan!
I watched a comparison video between this speaker & the W-KING X20. Now, I will admit, the X20 does retail for $319.99 on Amazon. It’s also routinely marked down to $224.99. The video is on Jay’s Straight Up Reviews. The X20 was 5 & actually closer to 6db louder on the decibel meter. It also sounded much cleaner with more detail. I’m not saying that it’s a bad speaker. At the same time, there are better options in this size & price range. The price needs to be lowered in order to be competitive with the competition.
great unboxing. well done sir! your take on this with your experiences makes the whole thing amazing and worth the view. the comparison to a guitar amplifier etc sticking to what you know and speaking your honest opinion is what makes you great. 👍
Save your money & get the W-KING X20. It’s rated at 200 watts & right now on Amazon, it’s going for $224.99. I’ve watched multiple comparison reviews between both of these speakers. The X20 literally wiped the floor with the Boom Plus 2. On Jay’s Straight Up Reviews, the X20 was 5db & actually closer to 6db louder on the decibel meter. Not only was it considerably louder, it was much cleaner sounding, with better stereo separation. I personally own a X20 & I can tell you that for the money spent, you won’t find a speaker that sounds as good at the loudest volumes, with very little to no distortion in it’s price range.
Two speakers sharing one cavity never really makes for good stereo separation. That's the problem with these passive radiator designs, the left and right speaker share the same space and it can take away some clarity and cause problems with the sound
Just got this speaker...don't bother!! All youtubers saying it's really good and bassy.. its not! It's loud but very little bass. And ar max volume you can hear some distortion.
103 dB is loud AF for a portable speaker. Anker has really stepped up their game in the last few years. They used to just make cables and chargers that didn't suck lol.

I have 4 Soundcore Rave Party 2 speakers that i use for yard parties . Just spread them out to all 4 corners of the gathering. I cant seem to find the average max db level for the Rave Party 2. But my Boom 2 Plus is coming in the mail a few hours. Ill compare their volume levels in person soon.
Man, as a super early subscriber, it makes me sad that there are 203,000 folks but such low views and engagement. Wonder what happened. Hope all is well otherwise!
This looks like their answer to the Tribit Stormbox Blast. The Motion Boom Plus wasn't cutting it against the Stormbox Blast. It is way lighter than the Tribit though, so they both have their place.
It’s a good speaker, but not for $249.99. There’s a few other speakers on the market that are cheaper & perform better for less. At $179.99 - $199.99 makes more sense.

Bass limits at higher volumes, which means it sounds bad at high volumes.
Much like 90% of Bluetooth speakers though.
