Thank you for this video. I am currently teaching the Book of Acts and just completed Acts 13&14 and came across your video presentations. Wow! brought light and clarity with deeper appreciation of Paul and Barnabas' commitment to the Gospel of Jesus

Didn't Paul write Galatians from Ephesus during his 2nd missionary journey? At 7:00, the video seems to suggest that Paul wrote Galatians during his 1st missionary journey after preaching in Pisidian Antioch and gotten kicked out (Acts 13:50). At any rate, the difference in time would only be a few years. I just think it's unlikely that he would have written it during his 1st missionary journey, as that's when he just founded the churches in Galatia.

@@Birdylockso I am of that opinion also. I think to write a letter on the first Missionary journey would line up seeing this is his first journey and sets up points that eventually are churches in the area. Id go for the second Missionary journey. I stand corrected though.

Absolutely helpful. My friend and I are studying Acts right now and we are in chapter 13. I tried googling the two Antiochs and looked at some maps but when I came across your video it helped immensely! I look forward to more of your videos.

For me, as a Muslim, born in Antioch (now Antakya) and very curious on early Christianity, this video is a treasure. Thanks a lot for your effort.
A lot of questions I have about Paul, his mission, his relations to the other apostles especially James and the early community after Jesus (pbuh).
Mainly, I can not understand why Paul have a such big influence on todays Christianity? I mean, unlike the companions of Jesus, Paul did not live with christ, did not even see him (except Damascus vision), did not know about his daily behaviours, his method, his ideology ect All his knowladge should have been hearing the second hand informations about his preaches. So why not James (brother to Jesus and Jesus' close friend on his mission during his life time, also head of the companions after Jesus) was not chosen for the mission of bringing holy bible to the other sides of the world but Paul?

Great video! But Paul likely didn’t write Galatians during this missionary journey - especially since at the point you noted, he hadn’t yet establish those churches in Lystra, Derbe, etc that the letter were addressed to. While we don’t know exactly where he wrote, most theologians think it was probably during his time at Ephesus.

I agree. Most likely Paul wrote Galatians from Ephesus, during his 2nd missionary journey. It is almost certain when in Gal 2:11, Paul opposed Peter to his face. This unfortunate event must have taken place after the Jerusalem Council, when Paul and companions went back to Antioch. This Antioch visit by Peter, as recorded in Gal 2, happened before the 2nd missionary journey, during which Paul recalled the incident when penning the Galatians.

    Matthew 24:23-27 KJV
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before. [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. [27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
    Acts 9:3 KJV
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
Damascus is in the desert! Hmm! Jesus provides a stern explicit warning, let those with ears hear! Are we following Paul or Christ?

In Gal. 2:11-12, the disagreement happened in Antioch, not in Jerusalem. Also, Paul wrote Galatians from Ephesus during his 2nd missionary journey, NOT the 1st, when the churches in Galatia was just planted. (The disagreement happened in Antioch, after the 1st missionary journey AND the Jerusalem Council in 49AD).

Good job but both Antiochs are in Turkey. The Antioch that you proclaimed in Syria and where Paul met with Barnabas is in Turkey.
Antioch is known as Hatay and Pisidian-Antioch is known as Yalvac today.
