FACTS marriage is not respected these days.
Truth Nick I was warned "If I choose this, I'm was going to go through a lot of pain, but don't worry I'll be with you". Scared me so much my heart was pounding! But a few months later I chose it. That's were I am today. But He is Faithful because He's still with me.
I really enjoyed this. I relate to a lot of it. I agree with not living with the person before you marry them. It will save you so much headache especially if you dont end up getting married. We need to do things the right way which is the biblical way.

I would love to share my testimoney with you someday, it is very long and the amazing, the Love that Jesus has shown me no matter what I did and then he healed me with me being totally out there all those years, then the completle surrender that happened a week or so later and the stuff I went through for that week was unreal, Then the total peace that God showed me when he lifted the huge weight that I felt off me was just so Amazing! The Holy Spirt speaking to my Spirit is something I can’t even really explain! I just Praise the Lord and give him the Glory and I never want to lose the fire I have for the Lord or the desire to serve him Ever!
It may have been in the culture to serve the guests first. In some cultures they serve guests in their home first then they serve their family and sometimes ppl do it to be nice so the guest don’t feel uncomfortable

America is so huge. Its so sad how they generalize all of us. In comparison to smaller countries like Phillipines or Morroco or what have you. We are a huge country with a mix of cultures and we DO have cultures that are way more traditional with women who believe in traditional values. The whole region of the South is littered with these women. Even the Midwest too. Sure in bigger cities in those areas they move different but i grew up in the rural south. People definitely still believed in marriage and traditional roles and lives. I saved myself and married my first bf because thats how i was raised. Unfortunately he ended up being abusive but still im only 31 and yes many of us still have biblical values.
I hate that the world is taking examples from a few bad apples and painting the whole bundle with them. The LA Instagram chick whatever. I dont even have any social media and no desire to be seen whatsoever. I promise you we exist. To say all American women are one way is like saying all American men are one kind of man and its not fair to either gender. Its like we've all just bought into the narrative of what social media is pushing (an intentional gender war to keep us distracted and disgruntled) and we all just need to log off and experience real life and real humans. Nothing is ever as good as it seems and nothing is ever as bad as it seems.

I love this conversation you are both sharing. How refreshing? I love that you are both being so honest and truthful in Christ. I wish there were more men out here with your mindsets..that desire to serve in their marriage as Christ has called men to be. I agree with what you all said with both men and women regarding marriage and how we do relationships. If we kept our eyes on Christ our relationships would definitely prosper greatly. What do you do if you have shared a life with someone for nearly 10 years outside of marrige without knowing God to then turning to Jesus later in your relationship but your other half has never even heard about Christianity. Marrige is something I always wanted but my partner and I faced a lot of challenges along the way which resulted in marrige being very delayed for us, but we have worked so hard to get to where we are right now. However, I have decided to give my life to Jesus and my partner has only really heard about Jesus recently so it's all news to him. I feel like no one has been in my situation. I love him and feel it doesn't make sense to leave him when there could be a chance I could save him if he sees how Christ has changed my life. Everyone has a different opinion and it makes me question my relationship sometimes...
What I have learned is a relationship with God the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit is a "personal relationship." I think a set apart relationship is more important with God then you can see more.
The hardest lesson I learned I can't save anyone, no matter how much I may want them to see the love of God.
