This is so moving, I´ve watched 10 times in a row. I came to this Irish song reading The Islandman book based in the Blasket Islands. In fact, the way you play the song, it would suit a film of the book if it was ever made. Thank you, all!
So happy to discover your great performance - it is simply Breating'in and Out on my Hoher harmonica in G... G for generous, grand, Godley - thanks so much!
+alfa0964 alfa0964 Thank you Alfa! I will have to put up some more Irish tunes then! :) I will have to get Melodeana together and record some more tunes ;)

Absolutely fantastic it is one of my favourite songs. Love the As Gaeilge version. You brought back to me some childhood memories of summer evenings with my grandmother. Thank you.💗
Hi Sabrina, yes it’s a beautiful Irish melody 🎵. As we say “ tá sé go hálainn ar fad”. Good it’s your favourite. Best wishes for a lovely weekend 😊🙏🎶 Michael
Also check out Liam Clancy's version. He does this song in Gaelic several times: in a duet with Tommy Makem during the Clancy/Makem days(with Tommy on the whistle); in a 2002 live performance at Mooney's Pub in Waterford; and in his last performance in 2008 called "Live at The Bitter End" (a club in NY City).
@@leahflower9924 I had a listen, I believe it's possible on a two row melodeon but I'd rather like to keep the channel primarily UK folk based. It's always nice to hear an accordion solo that's good and not flashy though!
Awesome, but it's not the real title, the real title is in Irish "Ar Éirinn ní neosfainn cé hí", and "For Ireland I'd Not Tell Her Name" is the English translation (well actually it's "For Ireland I wouldn't say who she is").
When I have done my time for my crimes and I finally get to leave my prison cell I am going to start working had to earn some money So I can go and visit Ireland for a very long time and get to see as much of their most stunningly brilliant live music been played live all over the land
Isn´t Irish music just fantastic? No wonder it´s loved all over the world
Couldn't agree more. They still have what we have ignored and show us with heart and soul the way to rediscover it.
Love from France.☘🎻🎶😊

Carry me out to this tune lads ⚰️
Me too
Me three. A haunting tune that should make everyone howl as they bury me under the dirt blanket.
Aww what a cute family 😊
@@SamsonJames can you do punk rock girl (mxpx version) next? There's an accordion solo in it lol 😅

This tune sounds well on the highland pipes too.
I need to hear this!
beautiful...but the yawning was funny.
When was the yawning? I didn't see it...
Hi there again! How did you get on with the Fields of Athenry?
Nowhere I'm afraid. A lot has happened! But who knows what the future holds.
❤️

That's interesting! I knew of the Irish title but not of the more direct translation. In fact, let me just add the Gaeilge into the tags.
😊
