Another great video! A lot of these Amazon rules stem from FTC guidelines. So, in addition to breaking Amazon's TOS, if you do these things then you could find yourself in the FTC's crosshairs. Pro tip: include the word "review" in your shoppable video for SEO optimization. 😉
Thank you so much! I’ve been searching for 20 minutes and yours is the first video that clearly explained that there is a difference. I’ll have to go back and delete my review videos and redo them as shoppable. Thank you!
OK, so now I am seeing another Amazon influencer saying she makes a lot of money from her influencer REVIEW videos, not regular review videos and seemingly different than influencer SHOPPABLE videos. Or maybe an influencer review video IS the same as a shoppable video, only it’s a review of the shoppable item?
Yes, people commonly call them review videos but the ones you earn from are called “shoppable videos” by Amazon. Review videos are actually the videos included in a product review that includes a star rating first.
Great Video as Always! Thank you Kathleen . Thumbs up! IDK if you remember me but you helped me out answering questions and I was approved on 6/20. I super enjoy the Amazon Influencer program and I have 10 videos total, 2 recently uploaded, one didn't have a carousel but I did a review on it anyway, because I loved it so much, and the other got on "lower" carousel with all the others. The rest are all on carousel too, 4 on "lower", 3 on "both" and I have already made $30.13 so far on my 1st 8 videos! It's super fun!!!!! lol. I am very thankful and trusting in God for His Provision. Just wanted to say hello and keep up your great work! God Bless you.- Victoria
Thank you! I see this a lot in Jamie's group and try to really educate people to think of them as "shoppable videos" since we're not really "reviewing." If I taste a yucky canned soup, I'm not going to post a video on it, since I won't feel good about encouraging people to buy that gross stuff. Instead, I'd rather post a positive shoppable video on a soup I DID like.
Yes, totally agree! I get a lot of questions where people don’t know the difference so needed to make a video to help. If only I was allowed in his group, I could be helping there, too! 😂
Great content as always. I get a lot of sellers asking me to purchase then get a reimburse. I have always told them no. But now I will gently remind them that it is against TOS.
Hey there! Maybe you can break this down for me! If I upload from my creator hub page I can not link the video as a shopable video to my idea lists. I can still upload the video and earn comission, just without being able to link to an idea list. However, if I upload from my storefront "create content" tab I can link the video directly to my idea list. Where I am getting some confusion is, when I go back to the creator hub, the shopable video appers there as if I uploaded it as a regular video on the creator hub. I just don't want to duplicate videos - I just can't tell if they are both going to the same place or not. Does one link solely to the idea list and the other goes to the carousel?
If I see a product that has review videos but no influencer videos, is this a good sign that my video has a good chance of showing up? What I mean, is does any type of video on a product give a good indication that shoppable videos are eligible and can appear? As opposed to a product listing with no video at all. Thanks for the great videos keep it up
If your 3 videos got denied and you re upload new ones. Do you have to do anything else once you’ve reloaded videos? Like do they automatically look at them again?
Nope, you don't have to do anything else! Delete the rejected videos, upload the new videos and then keep checking for that approval to come through. Good luck!
How do influencers get the product to do shoppable videos? Are they able to purchase the item and get refunded? or does the product have to be sent out outside amazon's system. Reason I'm asking is because I'm a seller and I cannot ship the product to them, and I'd rather have them buy it off of amazon to do a shoppable video and not a review.
If they reach out wanting you to make a shoppable video, so NOT a review video or rating, in exchange for free item - we can do those right? Just not if they are wanting an actual video review with star ratings etc
I’m trying to get into the influencer product review video for onsite commissions, where should I post my videos. My 3 posted videos are ‘shoppable videos’ is that the same?
Yes, those are your "shoppable videos". You can upload your videos directly to your storefront - add content - or using the Amazon's creator hub dashboard. Hope that helps!
I wouldn’t do both…it could risk your influencer account to post regular reviews. Plus you’re not compensated for regular reviews, only the shoppable videos and images.

Great points all around and great tip! Always appreciate your input! 😃
You’re my favorite Amazon Influencer “influencer” ❤
Wow, thank you so so much ❤️
Thank you for this video. Just got approved for the influencer program and was so lost on the different videos!
I agree that it can be very confusing! Especially when others don’t use the right terminology of Amazon. 😃

My pleasure!

Should I delete my old product reviews and use the videos for shippable videos?
You could. I wouldn’t do both, though.
Thank you for another great video...
Thanks for watching!

Yikes, thanks for the clarification!

Wow i was told to do both videos and leave a review by Amazon. To earn commissions.
