    I have this bling tool...one of my little tricks for getting the pointyness back to the tip is to just use your fingers! Gently roll the tip of your tool between your thumb and pointer finger. The warmth from your fingers will make that wax extremely pliable. You may have to roll it a few times, but it really has worked out well...for me at least 😊 just remember to be gentle...hope that helps out some!!!

    You could also use a clear thick top gel or a small amount of acrylic to adhere the crystals. I use acrylic for larger stones/crystals and mega gloss from Naio Nails to adhere smaller stones/crystals xx

      Charlotte Cundall I have a video all up chatting about how and why I apply crystals like this. I prefer the crystals to look like they’re floating on the nails as opposed to in a gel or acrylic. I also go over a ton of different tools I’ve tried for crystals. I wasn’t a huge fan of the katana. I know many people love it though!

    • @Tinx1316
      @Tinx1316 6 лет назад

      Talia's Nail Tales we don't have a huge choice of crystal tools in the UK. You can get wax pencils and a couple of knock off versions of the crystal katana.... They just don't pick up well. As for American products or products from other places overseas (excluding China, Japan and other places in the area) are subject to strict export rules, don't sell to self taught techs or have extremely high shipping/handling costs plus the hidden import tax and import vat (not set until you receive the card demanding payment before delivery.
      I will try your method of applying brush on glue next time... Great advice on placement! Thank you so much xx

    As a Nail Tech, i don't understand why you don't want to share the price! You do great work so why not share to help others. Your price point may help someone who's learning how to price. Or at least give a range/ ballpark. To anyone who sees this, I'd charge $175 because they're short nails and Genuine AB crystals. FYI: there's more quality Glass stones in addition to Swarovski. Let me know if you'd like help finding them. Again, great work 💕

    I was quoted $400 at the nail salon I used to go to. $30 for each nail with Swarovski crystals plus time and everything else. I decided to do it at home. I use ss3,4,5,6,7,9,10&12 which turns out to be over 400 crystals on all 10 fingers. It's very time consuming but so worth it!

  • @sharexoshowxo
    @sharexoshowxo 7 лет назад +4

    You should apply your topcoat and then use either a stronger glue, or gummy gel and Shine-E together while applying the crystals. The Gummy Gel and Shine-On are from Max Estrada. His store is at Enailcouture. I'm not sure if his shop has a Canadian site but he is in the US. The gummy gel is applied but not cured. You apply the Shine-E on top of the Gummy Gel by just lightly floating it across the nail. Apply your crystals and it's like setting it in a turtle neck. The gel just snuggles the crystals and after you cure it, it locks your crystals in. Amazing products! Anyway, the glue I do use, if I don't use Max's products, is Bondini. That glue is a fast set until you remove them.

    • @TaliasNailStudio
      @TaliasNailStudio  7 лет назад +9

      sharexoshowxo I much prefer the look of using glue. I finding using gel makes the crystals look bulky. With the glue I find the crystals look like they're floating on the nails. To each their own, this is the way I prefer. Thanks for watching 😊

    • @sharexoshowxo
      @sharexoshowxo 7 лет назад

      Talia's Nail Tales yeah, I'm the same way. I refer my ways too. I think it's just whatever works for you, actually works for you. So why change if it works, right? I do think Max has a great system that is something that works for me. Eventually it worked for me... It just took me a bit to get the gels thin enough to accommodate the crystals without flooding the whole nail.. If it weren't for the fact that I paid for these gels, I probably wouldn't have persisted at trying to get it right. Grrr... Anyway, I hope I didn't rub you the wrong way with my suggestion. I love your videos!

    • @sharexoshowxo
      @sharexoshowxo 7 лет назад

      I mean 'prefer' my own ways. Not 'refer' them. I'm just digging that hole a whole lot bigger for me to jump into, ...right? So, on that note, I'll just be off now and hurling myself into that large hole I dug for myself, all by myself, because I'm just that kind of idiot. I'm just going to to plant myself and a whole crop of apologies to you. Rambling as I go. Sorry again.😔

    this was so fun to watch, lol my first question was 'What does that cost?' I have the smallest nails and tend to stick to ss9 as my largest otherwise the larger ones just cover my whole nail. Why not embed the the crystals in gel? Do you just find the glue works better longer?

    • @TaliasNailStudio
      @TaliasNailStudio  7 лет назад

      Oh I didn’t mention that! I don’t like the look of using gel. It makes the crystals look bulky IMO. I prefer the glue because it looks like the crystals are floating on the nails. If you have little nails, I would probably do s12 or s16 as the large feature crystals

    • @TaliasNailStudio
      @TaliasNailStudio  6 лет назад

      If you use a small amount of glue, like I do with the microswabs, they set right away! If you use a lot of glue, you will have problems with them setting and man fall off. No need to cure as the glue is air dry

      Honestly I think she doesn't say because it's extremely expensive. And she probably doesn't want to sound ridiculous. The nail place I go to could charge up to $5 per Crystal. So you could just imagine

    What a beautiful set !!! Do a video where you remove them all ! I have the ugly duckling blinger tool and love it ! When the tip stops picking up crystals , with the heat of my fingers , i pinch and shape the wax till i have the point I want :) But i typically use smaller crystals too .
