You can watch Dapol Hinton Manor running on my railway alongside Wimblebury (J94 Saddle Tank Engine) and Jimmy the Jinty, on Kelly Ashford Trains now. Lydham Manor has put a smile on my face. I hope to see her and Odney Manor running together, sometime.😄
Great review Matt, I have Hook Norton Manor and very pleased with it. They are wonderful models, Dapol are on top of their game at the moment and are certainly showing the big companies up.
Just a thing to note: If you use a Zimo sound decoder they are rated for 8 ohms speaker output. If you use both the sugar cube in the smokebox & also fit a speaker in the tender they will be in parallel, meaning you get a total of just 4 Ohms output that will damage the sound decoder over time! So, if you buy a sound fitted version, the loco will have a Zimo decoder installed. If you want better sounds by fitting a speaker in the tender you MUST remove the sugar cube from the smokebox.
Matthew an excellent review on the dapol 00 7827 Lydham Manor and hear is information about the shed allocation for that locomotive First shed December 1950 Chester, March 1959 Oswestry, May 1965 Shrewsbury, last shed Shrewsbury. I did notice there was a mistake when you said the number on the side was 7829 followed by which was D in blue. JJ
Decent overview of the dapol manor there Matt, looks like a nice model overall, while I’m not a huge fan of GWR locomotives I may pick one of these up in the future, if I do I will most probably go for one in either BR late crest or a BR black.
Hi Matt. I enjoyed your review as I currently have a Dapol Manor on route to me. I did notice on the outside of the fireman's front window what appeared to be a lump of glue. Also looking at the same side looking into the CAB the roof didn't seam to be fitted to well. That said a lovely looking model.
for the dcc sound fitted option what dcc system do the decoders work on, I have mine but it is not on the Hornby Railmaster database apparently. Thinking of getting a new system but I have no idea which one to get.
A beautiful looking model thankyou for the video
Thanks very much Mark

Definitely looks and runs like a winner, Matt! Thanks for the share!
Yeah this is a good one. Thanks Anthony

Yeah they are doing a great job at the moment
They are a big company...
No one is showing anyone up.

Ow ok thanks for the info I didn't know that
@@Mattslade6024 I was given this by Mr Soundguy, he supplies Zimo decoders & sound files.

Yeah this is a great model ☺️
I have the BR black Hinton Manor version. Really good quality finish and I particularly like the coal load in the tender.
Yeah the coal load is very good on these.

Yeah I didn't spot that until I see the video. It's been sorted now and looking good.

Lovely locos and great models, how were your tender wheels for stiffness?
They seemed to be ok on this one
