hahahha now that was funny, just watched a enfield video. They are ECONOMY PARTS. i liked them because they look old school. i had a Honda CB 350 in 1975. loved it as a putt putt bike .i wouldn't ride these day's, I'm to afraid to die ,drivers are nuts in the Calif bay area. and I'm to old, and want a NATURAL DEATH you know like lead poisoning from a bullet or stabbing, for the flu >>.now covid. haha
Seriously. The Cave Man Sprocket Company. Whoever owns that place should be ashamed. No safety or comfort of any kind. All I can say to those workers is, "Nice work, but BE CAREFUL!!!"
Aren't you embarrassed that the belt can break and remove the scalp? 13:24 This whole video is a complete violation of safety regulations, I very much doubt that these men live to be 80 years old.
Beyond the obvious safety issues is the product itself. Hot rolled scrap steel without any hardening or temper. Sprockets will last about a month….maybe a little more with a good chain. But they probably aren’t hardened chain either.
Odd, the early punching steps generate like 10 parts per minute, but then the tooth-milling step generates like 1/40th the production rate. I wonder how they manage that.
They may use more than one gear hobbing machine per run. They are doing them in one cut which isn't ideal. The surface finishing is pretty poor because of it.
nice job but jw why the metal wasnt clean b4 it got pressed or sand blasted or why wasnt it heat treated in an oven to give it strenth other then that like i said b4 good job :)
I started working in 1971 in a highly efficient telecom factory in The Netherlands. Kaizen did not reach the low lands then, champions were found on the soccerpitch and blackbelts were worn by Anton Geesink in Olympic games. Every year, before vacation time, we had a cleaning day. Walls would be painted, tables cleaned and fitted with new boards where needed. The floor would be cleaned. After the holiday you would return to a fresh and clean workspace. Why do these people allow themselves to work in these conditions. Why work in grime and dirt? Why the risk on trapping and wounding yourself with floors full of scrap, why ‘logistically rerouting’ by a rough hole in the wall. Do they lack selfrespect? Don’t they want to keep the children working there (!) from harm? I strongly reject terms as ‘shithole’ because is it a rude generalisation for countries of businesses with limited possibilities. Does anyone here have a more fitting term, because I just keep ending in ‘shithole’ for these kind of shops.
Its great to see real workers, really working, unlike todays so-called "workers" whose sole aim is to do as little work as possible, some of them even have the nerve to call themselves professionals....

Is there such demand for this product? Can't last long....? Not commenting about conditions, yet again, but in a way I do, always the same picture, slippers no eye or ear protection. Just the audio track makes me turn it down. Sweatshop!! These countries have a lot of work to do to come up to some level of safety standard. These guys are desperate and they are being exploited. Nobody in power gives a rat's arse.
They work so hard in a dangerous place no health an safety for very little pay but they make great product the machines are looked after better than the staff
