If I close my eyes I could believe that was Alan Hull singing. What a great cover!
He's Alan's son in law
@@andybenstead7240 Not a blood relation then... unless singing talent can be inherited by marriage ;-)

That was great indeed and took me back to my teens. First time venturing into a pub - this was playing on the jukebox. Loved the song ever since.

Brilliant version, only thing missing is the iconic electric bass outro.
Brilliant
Wow…..I wasn’t expecting that
That was fantastic, even got Alan Hulls voice down to a T, and is that Dave Gilmour on the keys?
no its Steve Daggett keyboard/producer in the late 80s and now late 2000s ;)

Ahh at last, i spy my old mate Peter Maxie MacIntyre playing on the far left of this session on guitar
Gosh! Not seen him for years!
He used to have a shock of baby blond curls!
But hey! He looks fine & dandy & the Bees Knees
I cant seem to find Mitch?
Is he still playing with them on this vid?
Wonder who the singer is ?
Any relation to Alan Hull?
Grandson perhaps? He does sound alot like Alan
I used hear the guys play at the
Maggie Bank pub in Shields on sunday mornings but that was yonks ago
They still sound amazing!
Love this song & Run for Home
ahh what memories
Its not maxi its chatlie harcourt from the mark2s singer dave hull denholm hes the soninlaw to alan
@@boomchangrecordsLive1212
Well it looks like Maxie, alot older from when i last saw him
I read in the Evening Chronicle that maxi was joining Lindisfarne just a few yrs back
So where is Maxie then?
I do hope hes not gone to the big jammin fest in the sky?
I think ive worked out that Mitch
( of maxie & mitch) did sing with
LDS Farne, but must have split off to form the Pitmen Poets??
So..where is Maxie then?
( btw i worked with Maxie at GKN Steelstock in Hebburn, was the only female steel seller they'd had, but thankfully i was just one of the Lads which was a great environment to work in..)
Please someone tell me where maxie is?
@@itallia666 hes fine I seen him last year before chtistmas at and event had a good chat and catch up. Hes never changed really think hes still on
South tyneside
Wow fantastic
That was pure dead brilliant
Is that Paul Thompson on the drums?
Yes it is
magic
NICE ONE GUYS LOVE NOBBY
Very good. Is that Rod's kitchen?
tip top pop pickers
Excellent rendition, but the old codger on the mandolin is quite the poseur...
Ooohhhh......add the harmony please.
So that's where Bruce Grobelaar got to. Must have started cello lessons after leaving Liverpool FC. Very accomplished!
He doesn't half sound like his father in law.
Better with all the harmonies. Good try.
