      They would be close. They get 3-5 yards of separation on every play. Mahomes is great but he was actually off target a lot yesterday. His receivers had to bail him out a few times. Not saying it happens often, but it may not have went the same way if he didn't have those receivers. Guess we will see in a few years when they are gone.

    No sh*t. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers would probably be in the Super Bowl if they had the Chiefs lineup. That doesn't take away from Mahomes ability to comeback in desperate situations and to be able to throw as accurately as he can. Congrats to the Chiefs from a Patriots fan.

      That’s debatable. Russell Wilson plays behind a bottom ranked O-line and an archaic scheme. Mahomes receiver’s, according to Next Gen stats get the most separation in the league. That’s Andy Reid’s scheme.

      it’s a really stupid question. i totally agree with sas on this one because it’s LITERALLY true. ofc these offensive weapons help mahomes be great but by no means are we saying he isn’t great. he’s the reigning mvp but the point is simple, they obviously help elevate great quarterbacks to be as amazing as they are now. without them, a lot of quarterbacks wouldn’t be considered as great as they are now. proven by brady, one year difference in weapons, one was sb and one was wildcard eliminated.

    If I'm not mistaken, Travis Kelce was dropping some completely accurate passes thrown by Mahomes last night, and Demarcus Robinson was doing the same thing in the Texans game. But these are great offensive weapons right? Don't get me wrong, I know these guys are still good at the end of the day, but I don't think this offense is quite as great as people make it seem. I think Mahomes has been the one who's stepped it up and saved the Chiefs when things go wrong with his consistent accuracy and ability.

      Jeremy Dull Jon Kitna has Roy Williams. Eric Ebron couldn’t catch a cold. Petigrew was an Ok tight end. His only true weapon was Megatron, Burleson was a good compliment but not great. Golladay is gonna be great, but at the same time, Jones is aging and can’t stay healthy. Stafford has never really had multiple weapons.

      Randy Moss was really the only one. Wes Welker came out of nowhere and Donte Stallworth was decent but not elite.

    This is one of the dumbest things I’ve heard and I’m not a chiefs fan. Every Qb needs at least 1 weapon. Some QBs make other players look better. If you want to say Pat hasn’t made mediocre Wrs look good then I’ll agree and compromise with that. All qbs need weapons to get and win super bowls.

    Here's a great question: Put Jimmy G on the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes on the 49ers. Based on their skill sets and the offensive weapons they have and the coaches and play calling, would Garoppolo put up numbers like Mahomes with the Chiefs and would Mahomes put up similar or better numbers with the 49ers?

      Literally God I’m guessing you have some statistics to back up this claim? Because these oh so dominant weapons were there before Mahomes was starting yet the chiefs weren’t in a Super Bowl. This is like Watkins 3rd team. most ppl thought he was a bust but all of a sudden now he is some superstar receiver getting 3 yard separation on each play. Take your stupidity else where. I’m not saying his cast sucks all greats have great support! no one can overcome a roster devoid of talent or great coaching. But also, just stacking a roster with talent doesn’t mean a qb will produce. baker has better weapons than 90% of qbs and had one of the worst seasons of any qb this year.

HIS Weapons: RB, Marshall Faulk (Hall of Fame player), Isaac Bruce (Hall of Fame nominee 2020, 84 of 91 Career TDS with STL), Torry Holt (avg of 1384.5+ yards for 8 straight seasons, borderline HOF), Az-Zahir Hakim (avg 13.7 Yards Per Reception with STL), Ricky Proehl (2 time SB Champ, went to 4 Superbowls with 3 teams: STL, CAR, IND).
    No one ever questions Kurt Warner's greatness despite a ton of help. Let's not do that to Patrick Mahomes'.

    Aaron Rodgers' receivers from 2009-2012 were an abundance of weapons. Every receiver just about could've have been a number 1 receiver in the league at the time but no one talks about that. Greg Jennings the super star, Donald Driver the seasoned vet, a young Randall Cobb (starting in 2011) who was all over the field, Jordy Nelson who eventually became the number 1, and James Jones the Moss Machine and Jermichael Finley who was pretty good. They were stacked ASF! Don't forget to mention they got Davante Adams later on who grew to be one of the league's top receivers as well.

How are you going to call a team great and say the players are elite, then call their individual greatness into question and try to cause rifts to make someone go on their own and “prove” themselves as an individual.
