The thumb should play inwards of the hand, to avoid mutting the sound of the bass with the side of the finger, if it touches too far outwards it rubs along the side.
You also have to use the arpeggios by sliding your thumb, you should accentuate the last note which is the one of the melody, so that it is heard above the notes of the chord. If you try to make the arpeggio with pima it doesn't sound so good. There is a video of Andrés Segovia playing this piece, where you can see how it is done.
In this piece you can practice classic vibrato. As Carlevaro explains in his book Guitar School, it is better to raise the thumb from the neck, to make the vibrato, because this way the hand has more freedom and is done better.
To vibrato on the notes that are on the upper frets, it is better to use a classical guitar with a cutaway, since on a normal guitar, it is very difficult.
El pulgar debe tocar hacia dentro de la mano, para evitar cortar el sonido de los bajos con el costado del dedo, si toca demasiado hacia afuera roza por el lateral.
También hay que utilizar los arpegios resbalando el pulgar, hay que acentuar la última nota que es la de la melodía, para que se oiga por encima de las notas del acorde. En esta pieza podéis practicar el vibrato clásico. Según explica Carlevaro en su libro Escuela de Guitarra, es mejor levantar el pulgar para hacer el vibrato, de que esta forma la mano tiene más libertad y se hace mejor.
Para hacer el vibrato en las notas que están en los trastes superiores, es mejor utilizar una guitarra clásica con cutaway, ya que en una normal, resulta muy difícil.
