I met Rosie many times back in the 70s and 80s 90s oldies but goodies concerts here in LA great woman very friendly. She’s told me that John Lennon’s version was her favorite rest in peace Rosie.
She was working on a story about her life before she passed too bad I never was made, but I have enough memories of Rosie and growing up. This song is always played at some Mexican American party low riders. This is the anthem for the Lowrider culture Chicano culture.
This is a mash up of Lennon's vocals (1974) with the Originals on backing (1961) (for those of you who don't read the descriptions (should've been in the title..)).

John and the DJ were trading best and worst songs. John figured they might have had five minutes to fill the B-side so they just recorded anything.
