When you are new to the Machine, everything looks so complicated... however, going through your tutorial step by step brings some light in the dark :) thank you for this!
You could honestly be a teacher at a university if you wanted to. You go at great pace, you’re very detailed and informative and you’re easy to follow. Great stuff. I’m really new to electronic music and I finally feel like I can tackle my maschine
I don't think there are any better Mikro MK3 tutorials out there. I really appreciate how you get straight to point and keep everything simple. Thank you!!
Sanjay! I gotta tell you of all the tutorial videos on RUclips yours is the clearest and easiest to under. I have even watched videos of yours for gear I don't have. Great teacher! thank you!
For sure ,the best Tutorials on Mikro Mk3 by far , I was lucky enough to buy an almost brand new one from someone who was upscaling to a Jam ,and not having enough paper ( or ink) in my printer to print off thewhole manual :) Sanjays videos gave this old dog a chance to learn a few new tricks , I use mine live in a band to play sequences and also use it in pad mode to play Bongos and claps ,thanks Sanjay
Fantastic tutorial man, thanks so much. For a guy that's been playing mostly guitar and old fashioned keyboards most of his life, the Mikro is a bit of a daunting interface. This was a great way to get familiar with the basic functions of it and start to understand the concepts of groups and scenes in Maschine. Cheers!
Sanjay, thank you so much for providing this concise explanation and example of song arrangement. I have been looking for an easy to understand breakdown of this, and yours succeeded with flying colors. Live long and prosper, my friend.
I've subbed (obviously) and not new to beat making at all, meaning I don't need my hand held through the beginner stuff. but psuedo new to maschine. What is the best way to get ahold of you to pick your brain regarding? If need be you can email direct at serious@cyberdude.com.
Thank you Sanjay for doing these!! Really clear and helpful breakdown, been looking for my first proper midi controller/sequencer and the Mikro mk3 is a top contender.
I seriously appreciate this, I'm having a lot of fun! don't stop!! if I can add one thing, I use an mk2, so I don't have as many hardware features as you do, maybe you could show how to add stuff with the software? thank you so much.
@@SanjayC It's ok. Please please reply my question. I know I can make loops in Machine and drag them into Garageband but I need to record live from my Maschine and record that audio exactly you have recorded. How you done that ? In which DAW you have recorded and is it possible in Garageband ? I have tried but nothing recorded. Maschine is not showing up in input device in Garageband. I have no other DAW apart from Garageband. Please suggest how I can record live from Maschine Mikro MK3 if possible?
Trying to right click on my Mac laptop at the 5:00 minute mark and it’s not letting me do it the Plus sign keeps disappearing when I try to right click
Dope tutorials Sanjay! Happy New Year as well! I've been using the Maschine for years and I still picked up a few new tips from watching these. I would love to see videos on your whole process of using Ableton after you've exported these tracks from the Maschine software. I'm pretty new to Ableton Live 10, so this would be really helpful.
Hi! Thank you very much for your tutorials. It is too good. I've learnt the basics now. Cool. I have a query. In one of my projects the touch strip is not working properly. Particularly the beatecho mode. May I know why please.
So how would you get more effects to choose from? I see my list of effects but theres no echo effect and I'd like to have one there. How would you do that?
Hello I love your tutorials and learn so much by following the steps you take! I have a problem , its not possible to right click to append a scene. Could you please help? What am could i be doing wrong?
Wow...that is one POWERFUL piece of kit...amazing what we get for our money now a days...imagine recording all this stuff in the 70s or 80s....thousands and thousands of dollars just for some ordinary sounding synths...that even before you pressed record on your super expensive tape recorder...got it wrong? Tape goes to garbage, buy new one..
Your 4 tutorials on the MASCHINE MIKRO MK3 is absolutely amazing, I'm just one week old on my Mikro mk3 and a beginner into productions. I have watched Pt 1-3 for over 20 times now, in your next tutorials slow down the pace please, I'm suggesting i mean no harm please. More greez to your elbows SANJAY C. You mentioned about when someone has no knowledge of KEYNOTES(someone without music theory) so that way is to use the C1 or C2? Its not clear to me,Thanks.
I see that the change of scenes is immediately. Could be automated like it is by default in Ableton Live to change it at the end of the pattern? I am an Ableton live producer and I am so used to the Ableton workflow but I am tired and I need some inspiration. I am thinking in moving to Maschine universe but there are some things in it workflow that makes me doubt.
You can arrange it into a song and then arrange the song into the scenes/patterns you want to automatically play next. Its not the same as how you do it in Ableton
Is there a way to change the view from the scene overview to the standard overview with the patterns and groups? on the old Mk2 there was a extra button "navigation". On the new one it doesn't works
Any tips on using the Mikro with the Komplete Kontrol S61 mk2? I have seen a lot of videos about using the full version of MK3 with KK keyboard, but nothing about using the mikro. Also wondering about using Mikro with my Push 2. I see plenty of "VS" with these two but not too many using them together. Thanks.
Good questions. First, i think the Mikro and any NI keyboard is an excellent pairing, because you get the best (most complete) control of NI software. Mikro doesn't control Komplete Kontrol software as well as the NI keyboards do. Second, if you're using Ableton Live, Maschine will run on a track inside of it. Which means, the Push 2, will only control the stuff outside the Maschine track. If you're creating a beat using Maschine inside Ableton, you are controlling that universe within that one track only. Honestly, I use Maschine inside Ableton simple to get easy access to the excellent drum/sample kits that NI has to offer in Maschine. The control of the rest of the song, is much more comprehensive with the Push 2. The reason you probably don't see other videos showing the pairing of the two devices is because in my opinion, they are no complimentary - they are independent of each other.
Very good tutorials broth, but please talk more slowly please, because my English is very very bad. I am Majo Rodek Dj from Css-Venezuela But now live in Madrid Spain.

When performing, how do you make it start, say SCENE 2, after SCENE 1, without having to click exactly at the end of SCENE 1?
Can u do the same tutorials about native midi controllers s series please?? Love the style of your exploring
Oh man...I wish I had the S series. If I get my hands on one, I'll do that for sure. Just a matter of time.
Thank you so much for these tutorials. So clean and easy to follow. Subscribed faster than lightning
