    Just got my new Transforce HT tires. The Firestone dealership just told me I got 62,000 miles on this last set of tires. Excellent even wear all the way around. 2016 Ram 2500 6.4 L of gas crew cab long bed Towing a 3 horse gooseneck trailer on the weekends and freeway commuting during the week.

    I love these tires. I've got a 3/4 ton Ram with 147,000 miles. I replaced the original one's at 50000, the next set at 100000 and I'm about to purchase new one this week. I tow a 4 horse gooseneck horse trailer totalling about 12,000 lb. Once or twice a month and I have a 100 mile round trip commute everyday to work. These tires do not have a warranty and are fairly soft, so getting over 50,000 miles is exceptional for me. That's only because I am super careful about Tire rotating, pressures and alignments.. I love these tires because they give me excellent Traction in all weather conditions even when I'm towing a heavy horse trailer I hauled horses across the country and been in mud at horse shows that I should have been stuck in but these tires never got me stuck. A set of four brand new Firestone Transforce HT2 tires 172 / 70 - 18E will cost me $758 at American Tire Depot in Southern California.

    I bought my 2012 USED Chevy Express 2500 work van with these tires on .These tires' threads were about 65%-70% left. after 3 years I put in 35.000 more miles on them and they still look very decent.

    What’s the tread wear rating?

    I changed my review to a thumbs up. It's a bummer you only got 30,000 miles but a 1 ton dually tends to be a little rougher on tires than most. Besides my three-quarter ton single, we have a 1 ton dually and a Ford F-550 dually. Both of my Duallys go through tires faster than my single rear wheel. Even though you got lower than average mileage out of that set oh, I'm sure you were very happy with how they drone and handled the mud and rain.

    I just put 4 on my 07 2500 HD.
    Hoping to get closer to 40k and I'll be thrilled really. I also got them on a good sale. 4 for $680 out the door

    Well I'm a retired technician and tire installer alignment specialist. The company I work for delivers parts to our own parts stores and we drive Chevrolet 3500 cargo vans. And the Transforce tires or what they want to put on these things and I do not recommend these tires at all when the road is dry on a nice day they're fine but when it's raining and you have water laying in the road these things do not like wet roads and everyone complains about them. I wish they would ask us drivers who drive these vehicles what we thought of this crap that they put on these vehicles. I don't recommend them, would never put them on my vehicles. In our vehicles get over 130,000 miles a year on them, and they probably get on average sets of tires

    100%. I have them on my new 2022 Ram 2500. I have 8,000 miles on the tires and they straight up look like shit already. My 2019 Ram 1500 had the Falkens that were also zero durability. Replaced those at 20,000. I think I'm going with the Coopers.

    What is the difference between the HT’s and the AT’s

    • @garrylaaks
      @garrylaaks Год назад +1

      HT made for the highway use mostly and AT means all terrain ( like off-road)

    You have good wear on them. Nice even wear. To be honest I never knew why a tire company would give a mileage warranty for tread wear. Other than to get you back to the store to tell you something was wrong with your driving habits or your suspension and steering was bad.
    You got the perfect amount of mileage from those tires you could have. The compounds they are made of are designed to have grip. Now I'm not a tire engineer by any means. But I bet they hooked up in the weather. Or were you only driving on hot dry roads?
    Just curious.

    Are those 10 ply ?

    • @MMGJ10
      @MMGJ10 2 года назад

      Load range E. That's 10 ply equivalent nowadays.. "10 ply" tires don't actually exist anymore(that I know of), but load range E is the same equivalent.

    Tire wear all depends on how they are used. 30K is normal on that truck and how it was used.
