know nothing about restoring old beeping tanks or beeping engines but find your beeping videos beeping relaxing after along week doing beep all. cheers from Canada.
As a Reme Recovery Mechanic veteran I really enjoy your videos especially when you get Freddie Foden out brings back fond memories of pack changes in a FRG in deepest darkest Iraq.
I am not surprised things still worked on it, it is a Centurion after all, cheaply made, extremely popular at the time with just about every nation on the planet, yet was extremely reliable, part of the selling point, that and it was quite easy to service, and the most important part, it performed so good in combat. There is a reason it is one of the longest serving MBT's ever made
Now that Jack is back, some real work will be getting done on Tanks. No more messing about with funny looking cars on top of tank turrets and girls swinging around in circles from the tank barrel. Thank you Jack for getting this team focused once again.
One thing about this channel is you don’t need to know bugger all about tanks to enjoy it, a great sense of humour is all you need. I loved this tank the first time I saw it, it just looks really cool. You should ask your Dad what he reckons the scrotal circumference of that float is, bet he’d be well pleased to see that size in one of his bulls bag….trying saying that one fast. Top vlog lads, very entertaining
"Down" as if that was an option. Jack is quite the machine and makes the time-lapses fun to watch. When it comes to taking off road wheels we found it easier to put your back to tank. As well as when putting them on if you have a buddy to line up the holes.
I like the low down on prices and such. Brings everything into prospective. Including hours spent and "rough" prices in parts also too. Keep up the good work
Another brilliant video, Joe, and a compassionate and genuine intro based on its previous owner and his welfare and health. It would be nice if an importer of premium Chinese laser strippers supported your channel and restorations
Good video. Back to the Mr. Hewes and Jack comedy shows of the past. Good cliff hanger to end on, of course we're going to tune back in, and the enthusiastic playing of "The Entertainer" exit music supplied by your dad sealed the deal on this one. Good vid Joe, watch the wine it'll give you gout eventually.😂
What outstanding cinematic trickery when the laptop snaps shut… I understand Spielberg has bought an old tank just to feel closer to you! I’ve bought a ticket for the next instalment and I’m not moving from this seat. Good job, well done, you have the patience of a saint. 😎👍❤️✅
A British Centurion is named Mad Max is f***ing COOL. With its rusted and rough looks, it looks like it survived the apocalypse. Greetings from the U.S.
I think there was a big misunderstanding when you were interviewed for your job. You do not know everything about turrets. You know everything about tourettes. Keep up the good work, I'm loving it.
Great content, and my sympathys for extended needle gunning, I'm sure your aware but I would add an acid treatment to your refurbishing, I use phosphoric acid witha zinc base, it makes a great consolidated surface to paint on and much complements the needle gunning and takes almost no extra time
Handy tip for you on the thousand horsepower sunbeam when I’m working on the carburettors on the Sunbeam engines string on the spanners so when I drop them, I could always reach them easily. I know he gets it away but it makes life a lot simpler. Have fun Michael.
It is only because of your experiences to work in such difficult situations with spaghetti like fingers to screw out the floaters and whatever but using a TV monitor helps so much! A hell of a job indeed 👏 👌
Joe, my brother in law worked at Deyesbrooke barracks (Liverpool) in the 70's and serviced army vehicles tanks etc and always told me the way to deal with the smashed nail was to drill into the nail to relieve the pressure, you don't loose the nail!! When I crushed my nail some years later he reminded me what I needed to do, simple reply, FO.
Maybe I'm the weirdo, but I rather like it when you do the long-form videos of showing us all the fiddly mechanical work. Like Concrete Chieftan and Abandoned APC Drives Again were/are some of my favorites.
When wakeboarding or waterskiing trim engine up a bit. For your towing V, make it shorter and put a small pully on it were you connect you tow rope to👌
Welcome back Jack to staring in this episode! About time you were here, we missed your fruity language, mind you, Joe more than filled your and his portions sometimes! Hopefully you can get Adam under control of some sort, 'cos sometimes he gets to "Adamish" for my likings. He can be very sensible and that is the Adam I like. Just glad your back Jack, now there is some hope of things being done. Good overall, that float was twice the weight it should have been, still you can braze it back properly now! Thanks see you next time.
As someone who has dropped bits down spark plug holes twice in working career and dug then out before the engine started. I hope you covered the empty spark plugs holes up with plastic plugs.
Excellent plasma cutting, "@Vinheteiro". Perhaps you could get him to play for your outro? Great to hear the back story and the return to working of this AVRE over the coming days, weeks, months.

I hope you guys tested the replacement float, it would be a pity to have to do this job again or As Rainman Ray (RUclips mechanic, look him up) would say, "I love my job so much, I do it twice".
Another great film , thanks . Your outro's are brilliant ,thanks for taking the time to put them together . And thanks for the Halloween discount , I bought a hoodie , so now I can identify as a foden as well.
I soldered up pinholes in many dozens of brass carb floats over the years. Whoever committed that atrocity should be heartily ashamed of themselves. BTW, that was an enjoyable watch (as are most)
Nice to see and hear Jack again and the smart ass banter between the two of you guys. Question, how is a tank shipped to the states from England? UPS or FED-X? Seriously though, how is it done? Cheers.

I love you guys and really enjoy your videos. It's not just the armor that you have and work on. It's the fun that you have and share. I have a blast watching! What is the status of the underground boiler room that you uncovered? Kenny
Needle gunning....I had many years under my belt at sea and how the lads on deck managed to needle gun all day and every day I have no idea except maybe the many beers at the end of the day might have helped
Steve is a lovely bloke.. we bought the diesel road roller off him and he's still going strong on the farm up the road from us.
Good to hear!
FANTASTIC NEWS !! ❤
If Australia really was upside down, our Centurions would have the lightest ground pressure ever. Cheers.

Hi Joe, Now you know why most REME Tank Technicians are 4 Ft 8Ins in there high heals. Well done on changing that float...
"Have you got room for a stubby one in there?" Jack testing his chat-up lines right there :-)
Nothing but love for all of you. You are the luckiest tankers on Earth. You have supportive girls that love you 🎉

Good work ! I reckon the secret to getting that float out and back in is to feed a bit of wire through the hole in the tab on top.
Great episode, the interplay between you two is priceless, TV companies which they could bottle it!
